Camera Mod [Higher Quality/Better]

Shouldn't this be in the Note 3 forum than? I was surprised to see it in the general Android forum and see that the file's name is samsungcamera.apk (something like that). Didn't make any sense.

Well originally this was a bounty to get 4k recording past 5 min. Now it should be who can get past the 4gb limit

Ya so the thing we need to figure out is what is limiting the filesize

If the limit come from s800 codec then no hope to fix the 4GB limit. I've heard the Sony Z2(s801) doesn't has the 4GB issue(not sure yet), let us wait for the SGS5(s801) report.

You can also try to ask it in LG G2 4k mod cam threads if they got the same limit or not. They just enabled the 4k recording on LG G2 which is also running on s800 cpu.

I was thinking it was the internal filesystem format limiting. However it is ext4 which doesn't have a 4gb limit like fat32.

Try this apk guys. the 4k limit should be doubled. if FC's send me a log.

T-Mobile here (SM-900T / hltetmo).
Formatted SD card as exFAT, downloaded 100MB Unlimited, followed directions exactly, and it worked like a charm! Recorded 6 mins @ 2GB.

the issue is not time but VOLUME. ie your file was only 2gb (odd how was a 6minute video at 100mbit only 2gb?? dark black room?? even my much lower quality videos are much much larger. (average 2.7gb per 5minutes)

what people want to do is exceed 4gb. so record for 15 minutes and report back file size

Great Mod. I just wanted to verify that this mod worked on Verizon Baja Rom V9 (APK Version). I am going to go on a little ride to test out my new Escort Passport Max and will see how long it will go and at what bit rate. Thanks for your work on this.

YES!! Got it up to 9.5GB so far now to make some more tweaks and it should be good to go, i will make induvidual one for sdcard sizes

Ya for some reason it said the file was 9.5gb (on the display while recording) but when I looked at the actual file size it was 3.8gb. It was wierd

Hi, have anyone a apk for Android 4.4.2, all apk from this thread stopped the 4K Modus after 5 minutes and the Audio is not 256kbs. With the Version from the Opener i have FC. I use omega V11, the Note was bought in Germany.
