Where is info for this update?

Hasn't really hit the news yet. Apparently only for the Taiwan s21 ultra Snapdragon model to start so far.

I got it last night.

I could easily tell this are with very early January software, expect significant improvements with the latest updates.
What's different? Did they improve the lack of colour saturation and ****ty oversharpening?

Are you able to post some samples?

Less over sharpen, less bloom, less edge softness and noise, better 10x zoom, better low light photos without night mode, and no parts of the picture that are like a total smudge/blur.

Just turn off scene optimizer, and you should be good to go, all of this improvements are in AUB9.

This was shot from around 100 feet.

I also recommend to shot in 108MP with SO turned off, and later downscale to around 16Mp, you will get stunning details (for daylight)

Thank you for sharing this, however, it would be great for you if you can recreate the shots each time, so we can have some form of reference, try to remember the angle/position, and check for time of day/light source before taking the shot, its what i do and i got very good idea of improvements, you have PM btw.

Covid vaccination drive through area. Mix of 3x and 10x photos with unreleased GCam test version. Snapdragon.

Can you post night mode versus stock please?

Ive just check the photos a bit more, holyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, its an DSLR!? its INSANE!

Stock is still better at very dark scenes because this gcam isn't able to do longer exposures yet. GCam does look good indoors when it isn't too dark though. Here's a comparison with slightly darker indoor lighting. Had to use night mode on stock cam to be able to use the 3x telephoto rather than a crop of the main camera.

The problem i have with ZGCAM and BSG for Exynos, is that both are destroyed in low light/night mode, and even when there is some light. Is there at least a way to make the zoom cam work on exynos?

Samsung chose to disable RAW for the zoom cam on Exynos for some weird reason. Probably just two different camera app development team.

Stock night mode actually works well enough that even if GCam's night mode works better in the future, it won't bring big improvements. The biggest GCam night-related improvement would be astrophotography mode which would be in pitch black scenarios and ridiculously long exposures. Stock doesn't have that type of mode yet.

You can do up to 30sec exposure in Pro mode. Not sure how the results would compare to GCam astrophotography though.

Im not unsatisfied with the rhe zoom, or night mode, but after seeing your super organic 3/10x DSLR like photos i want it :/

Portrait mode + x3 Optical lens = Fab photos.

Its now nearly got to the point where am hardly ever using main lens/sensor. Fab work by Samsung to essentially bring the 'Nifty Fifty' lens to a mobile, very very happy :)

Amazing pics! I love this camera.
I'm not a photographer, but I love taking pics.
There are lots of flowers where I live, so I'm lucky. I'll post some more later.

Random photo I made today: my cat indoor using portrait 3x mode. Exynos on april update. I'm no photo expert but I'm quite impressed with the detail :).

Btw guys you can submit these pictures to Samsung through the members app along with the logs the members app generates. They really look into it it seems. I sent the picture I posted above with the noise in the restaurant and they did reply asking for logs as they need to send those to their engineers. We should do this with photos that are off or look bad as it helps them make improvements. To me this is a really positive sign that Samsung are actually listening

Foggy yesterday morning. Full auto, exynos, last firmware AUB9.
BTW. First photo little postproduced in lightroom mobile. Added vignette, more vibrant and punched whites and shadows, just all, the rest is stock.

I don't play with post processing much these days, but AD Photoshop/LR on the mobile is surprisingly good, this is going to be printed to acrylic plate at somepoint.

The dynamic range of the S21U really is quite something, even jpgs allows for post processing to the exact temperature 'look' you want.

The depth and general tone of pictures the S21 U is able to capture really did use to be only possible on 'proper' camera systems, even the x10 lens produces half decent efforts in post.

Add in the fact the entire work flow is possible on the phone, so no peeking on the back of a LCD camera screen, no faff with uploading to a laptop, no LR library to manage, no need to worry about backup due to the cloud, am pretty sure I can also send these file direct to Photobox/Snapfish or similar for large format printing all from the phone.......

From a purely a photography point of view, the S21 U is outstanding, there is no other way to put it.
