If you have Exynos, you don't need to use the Samsung package since that's for devices that supports telephoto RAW. Just use the regular one and you should have no issues installing. Oh and the links above are for the older version, Wichaya's v1.1 has more options.

Thank you for your information about the new version, I didn't noticed.
The wichaya version has the one big advantage about the special noise reduction models which work really good. When using the Ultra wide cam, there is a lot of noise in all corners of the photo, with wichaya and the noise model for exynos it's less.

A comparison between the two gCams would be nice! Some pics in nightmode and normal. Ultrawide and Main lens would make a clear distinction as to which gCam is the best one for our EU phones. This is a question no-one seems to have answered by now!!!

German tester bro, thanks.
Now I have done a little comparison( only daylight) and as beserker15 has said, there is no best gcam, both have some weaknesses and you have to set it up for your self to get the best results for your liking.
I think with the Ultra wide cam, the results are better, when using Wichaya's port, because of the better noise reduction, but with the wide lens the BSG port looks nicer( cleaner and sharper) But there are so much options to set in both models, I think you can get better results with each of them.

I guess indeed there is no best version. Would be nice if someone who has it better figured out, release a good pair of settings that would improve overall quality, colors and detail, in an above average manner. I mean, somehting that would further improve the stock gCam settings of Wichaya's port or BSG.

For me and most others here, there are so many settings and they all make little to no sense.

The above pic was edited with Lightroom.

The below pic is unedited. Would have been better looking with exposure down, but I was lucky this bird came in at the right time.

any hope for 4k60 on SD888 with filmic pro?

my understanding is that the developers claim support is not possible on SD888 for 60fps shooting--even though Wichaya seems to support this?

How can I take good detailed X3 portraits? (exynos). The subject in focus is coming grainy/ not detailed. I am trying to take a picture of a whole car in portrait mode.. its not only for cars that the x3 portrait comes grainy. The 108mp is exception for detail but portrait is lacking a lot of detial.

Sounds like you need better lighting or at least balanced lighting. Your car should not be a lot darker than say the surrounding or cast in shadow with a bright background. Also post samples of what you are referring to.

So can someone post some pics from the AUG4 update white the rest of us are waiting for it?

I have read that it fixes the camera to a much higher extent than previous updates... Want to know if it is true. Some before and after pics would be absolutely great as well!!!!

I did not perform a significan test in any way.

But I snapped pics of this coffee cup before and after the update. Over an hour apart.

On the 1st pics the coffee has water droplets and on the after it doesn't.

There may be some small light difference due the time difference but not for sure.

I don't see any noticeable improvements tbh...

Got this last night before playing some glow disc golf. Zoomed in on night mode, holding hands steady with the side of the truck. 66x zoom I think. Cropped to center.

Foggy yesterday morning. Full auto, exynos, last firmware AUB9.
BTW. First photo little postproduced in lightroom mobile. Added vignette, more vibrant and punched whites and shadows, just all, the rest is stock.

Now a much better macro pic of my eye. There was a bright light source in front of me, so I had to take exposure down, improve details, etc in snapseed. Anyway, awesome details. Macro camera is amazing!

I don't play with post processing much these days, but AD Photoshop/LR on the mobile is surprisingly good, this is going to be printed to acrylic plate at somepoint.

The dynamic range of the S21U really is quite something, even jpgs allows for post processing to the exact temperature 'look' you want.

The depth and general tone of pictures the S21 U is able to capture really did use to be only possible on 'proper' camera systems, even the x10 lens produces half decent efforts in post.

Add in the fact the entire work flow is possible on the phone, so no peeking on the back of a LCD camera screen, no faff with uploading to a laptop, no LR library to manage, no need to worry about backup due to the cloud, am pretty sure I can also send these file direct to Photobox/Snapfish or similar for large format printing all from the phone.......

From a purely a photography point of view, the S21 U is outstanding, there is no other way to put it.
