Recently changed from Huawei P40 Pro to S21 Ultra and so far I have to say that the S21U camera seems disappointing in low light situations. It's miles apart P40 pro when it comes to noise and quality. I will make some extensive testing and will post some photos in the near future.

Cheers,
T.

A shot taken during a comparison vs the RX100 VII. AS a small IG post this will be ok but I think GCam can get me more real detail instead of the fakiness that the Samsung app tends to add in search for more pop "detail" for social media.
If that makes sense lol

It makes sense to me. I shot this tree when a bird flew in. Check out the green box around it gives an idea of the level of processing occuring in every picture.
By the way the sky was never this blue.

My S21u has now completely taken over from my EM5 II as our families main camera system even on holidays.

Am not looking to win National Geographic photo of the year award, but far more interested in capturing memories!!

The lens options of the S21U really is unbeatable as a versatile and easy to access camera system. I MIGHT get tempted by the S22U, but given the x3 lens is one of my favourites and I doubt that will improve the S21U will likely stay for a while yet!!

It seems the S22U camera hardware might not get updated.

Been keeping an eye on this thread for a while, some amazing shots!

Gotta say, compared to the Note20 Ultra, the camera on my S21U (Exynos) its not much of an improvement. In fact, the 5x telephoto on the Note is often much better than the S21U's 10x, the latter having a smaller aperture and lots of processing issues.
Sometimes I carry both phones for a better focal length coverage (3x, 5x and 10x).

I've always been eager to have a decent telephoto system on phones, unfortunately the S21U leaves a lot to be desired on this regard.
At this point, I'm not sure Samsung will keep improving camera quality or even fix the processing for the 10x and ultrawide lenses on the Ultra Exynos.

Can anyone share some samples with One UI 4.0 Beta?

How did you get that ghosting? Did you use portrait mode?
Disabling the "AI Enhancer" thingie on the lower right corner disables unnecessary processing on pets and the end result is better and takes less time. With it enabled it's next to impossible to take a sharp photo of my dog. At noon. Outside.

Foggy yesterday morning. Full auto, exynos, last firmware AUB9.
BTW. First photo little postproduced in lightroom mobile. Added vignette, more vibrant and punched whites and shadows, just all, the rest is stock.

Now a much better macro pic of my eye. There was a bright light source in front of me, so I had to take exposure down, improve details, etc in snapseed. Anyway, awesome details. Macro camera is amazing!

I don't play with post processing much these days, but AD Photoshop/LR on the mobile is surprisingly good, this is going to be printed to acrylic plate at somepoint.

The dynamic range of the S21U really is quite something, even jpgs allows for post processing to the exact temperature 'look' you want.

The depth and general tone of pictures the S21 U is able to capture really did use to be only possible on 'proper' camera systems, even the x10 lens produces half decent efforts in post.

Add in the fact the entire work flow is possible on the phone, so no peeking on the back of a LCD camera screen, no faff with uploading to a laptop, no LR library to manage, no need to worry about backup due to the cloud, am pretty sure I can also send these file direct to Photobox/Snapfish or similar for large format printing all from the phone.......

From a purely a photography point of view, the S21 U is outstanding, there is no other way to put it.
