Is there a way to disable the camera shutter sound?
I understand that you can do it in the notification settings - but it doesnt actually do it.
Is this a regional thing? because phones that are bought in Japan cannot be disabled however I bought it in Singapore .
Yeah, it's a regional thing. OnePlus has put a toggle in the app, but in regions where it is not permitted to mute camera sounds, the toggle won't actually do anything. To work around this, I manually decompiled the OnePlus Camera app, muted the necessary sounds, and recompiled the app for my personal use. The sounds are muted by default (except the timer ones) and you can't enable them via the toggle also.
I'm attaching my modified version at the end of this post, if you want to give it a shot. Good luck!
Important info: You
won't be able to install this alongside your existing OnePlus Camera app. So you'll need root for this. Also, in case you still hear sounds even after correctly replacing the original OnePlus Camera app, let me know.
