Update how? If you mean the Windows Phone 7.8 update; I'm thinking a couple shots of your favorite beverage which might get you drunk, a couple of Hail Marys and don't hold your breath. No carrier that I am aware of has the official "Windows Phone 7.8 update to those of us who weren't blessed with Windows Phone 7.8 or 8.0 when they bought their devices to begin with. If you're crazy enough to get the hardware necessary to do it yourself then by all means but there's no guarantee the process will work on every Eternity on the face of the earth as many have testified here to pulling teeth. I'm pretty sure I didn't make you feel any better than when you asked.

hi mate if its showing an update notification then yes download it. in my experience with the titan every update so far has been a positive for the phone.

How to check if a rom is intalled on it or not
