Have you used Double Tap feature of EMUI 12 copied by Android 12?
To some extent, Huawei EMUI 12 is similar to Android 12, including features, gestures, and many more but capability such as a large folder makes it better. Aside from that EMUI 12 greatness, today we up the Double Tap feature of Android 12, which is similar to EMUI 12 double tap to work smart...www.google.com
I don't use tap to wake, so not sure. Can 'double tap to wake screen' work if downgrading to EMUI 9.1 whereby bootloader can be unlocked? Then one can modify the system settings to allow double tap.. Is this possible?
I read that you can maybe edit build.prop and emui config to allow it, but I haven't tested it... I did check the emui config file, which exists, but when I checked the build.prop file the easywakeup line isn't there... not sure if manually adding it would make it work, but it might?
I'm not 100% sure I understand your question. But in order to edit the build.prop you need to root only if youre on emui 9/9.1, is this correct? I'm on emui 12.
I've read that you can get "pseudo" bootloader unlocked on emui 12 by using some online services, but I'd never use those so no idea.
When I did modify my build.prop on emui9 (to enable VoLTE on AT&T) I did need root access to remount the /system partition as read/write.
