Can HP Touchpad charger and cable charge NOOK Color fast?

I have been wanting an extra charger for the Nook Color. I have been looking at B&N for the charger and cable combo and it's $25. So expensive but I know the NC needs a higher AMP? and special cable to charge quickly.

I found the HP Touchpad Charger and Cable for $11 and wonder if this would work just as well as the original charger and cable. This HP touchpad needs to charge quickly also and I would think may even need more amps than the Nook Color.

Anyone know or use the HP charger with the NC?

I would go further and ask if the HP Touchpad charger "charge" regular devices that don't need so much volatage/amps?

I have both devices; they appear to charge on each other's chargers, but both charge somewhat slowly on the other.

Which is odd, because the hp touchpad charger is clearly higher amperage than the nook color's.

I am kind of new to electrical wiring what is ampage(is that right) is a measure of.

Yes. The NC does properly charge off the TouchPad's charger (not touchstone) and doesn't complain. The NC's wall charger is 1.9A and the TouchPad's is 2.0A. I've got two of the TouchPad chargers for pretty much everything. Phones and other devices charge up nice and quick.
