Can I change my LCD screen to have a higher resolution?

Yes...

Install Root Explorer, go to system, find build.prop, open as Text Editor and find the line "ro.sf.lcd_density=120", and change it with any alue that you want. For higher resolution you need a smaller value than 120.

yes, that way you can even have a resolution of nexus 4 :facepalm: it wont change resolution, it will only change lcd density, which means everything will only appear smaller, but you'll have a lot of problems with apps and play store (apps will start force closing, and a lot of apps in play store will be listed as incompatible) if you want higher resolution, you should've bought yourself a better phone...

Agreed. People make mistake between :

1. DPI (Density)
2. Resolution (the ONLY monitor / screen on your Mini which display LCD DPI)
