I had a worse chip on my note 8. I tried the nail polish and with only one layer it was gone. I got one in the dollar store called sally hansen 880 black heart in the bottle there is a website sallyhansen.com
Before applying it I covered the area around the chip with electric tape, I let it dry for a good time and that was it.
