Can I go from cm7 to miui directly and vice versa?

I wanted to ask that I'm on cm7 and suppose iI want to try a miui built so can I straight flash the zip from recovery after a data wipe? ??
I'm sick and tired of flashing nordic everytime I want to try a new rom :/
I knw I can come back using a nandroid backup.. which I have already done

You can go from CM7 to MIUI but vice versa cant. If im right...

Yes, you can.
They use the same kernel ( except of some cm7 nightlies which uses SEA one ).
Only "/system" directory is different.

A full wipe (data/factory reset) is required though!
If you have problems from MIUI to CM7, try a boot version or RC, which will rewrite kernel.
