I just bought a brand new samsung galaxy 7. I want to root it for adaway only. I really hate ads in apps and web browsers. I don't wanna loose my warranty at the same time because last time my s6 edge was broken less than a year old. Had to take it to my insurance to get it fixed couldnt take it to Samsung.

Or can I reset my Knox to 0 if it trips it to 1 after root?

Thanks

If you root, Knox will be tripped, and there is no way to reset it.
You should try block-this.com to block ads without root. I use it since March and it works well.

Looks good thanks.

It makes me suspicious though why would they make it for free? They only ask phone permission nothing else.

If you're not the consumer you're the product!

I actually use the Samsung browser. I think it is more or less the AOSP browser. But you can install Adblock on it. Which makes mobile internet usable again. I find Chome completely unusable any more.

Adblock works only in the Samsung browser, but Block-this.com eliminates the ads in the whole system. Including the Samsung browser and Chrome too. Or any other application.

You can use disconnect pro if you want to block ads system wide without root. It is available in galaxy apps for 25$.

There is a free alternative called Adhell. But I couldn't get it to work.
