Can Nexus 5 work without a power button?

Hey so I have a Nexus 5 which stopped working a while back. What happened was that it would keep restarting and upon going through countless XDA forums, I found that Nexus 5 has a flaw in the power button where it would keep on rebooting. After one point the phone totally stopped working and wouldn't even turn on. Well Fast forward today and I thought maybe I can fix it, so I bought few power buttons and tried to remove the previous power button and re solder the new one but failed miserably. I have attached a few images maybe anyone can help me figure out if I destroyed the mother board or not. The battery voltage is at 3.8 V and My laptop doesn't detect the phone. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
