Hi

I tried to flash my Z2 to Paranoid Android today but it didnt work.

I was on the Official 5.0.1, which was rooted with this guide.
Then I used this guide to install a recovery.

When I tried to wipe System, Data, etc. before flashing the ROM, i stuck at sth like "wiping with ext4fs". So I did a hard reset and used Flashtool to install 5.1.1. I unlocked (official way from Sony) the Bootloader and flashed TWRP (and later CWM, Philz) but i wasn't able to start any of them (no purple light at boot, pressing VolDown did nothing, VolUp still did Fastboot mode).

So I went back to where i came from (5.0.1) via flashtool, rooted it again the same way and tried to wipe again (as it says in the guide) but again i got stuck at "wiping with ext4fs".

Summary: i cant boot into recovery unless i use the DualRecovery Guide and then i cant wipe.

Anyone any idea how to fix this? Spenr hours searching already :-/

What recovery are you using to wipe data?
Also did you try to flash a new kernel (with recovery included), like for example Z2_Desperanto_AdvStkKernel_690_v?

Sent from Xperia Z2
Luckily not from an iPhone = Yesterdays technology at tomorrows prices

I havent tried that yet, because for now i wanted to stay on the stock Kernel.
I messed around with kernels a lot on my old phones but never really had any positive impact so I wanted to keep this for later, when i have found the right rom for me.

But I will try that tonight and see if it works.
Is there a stock kernel I can flash with recovery included? That way i could keep the kernel the same for now until i have time to check out which is the right for me

Yeah. The one I've mentioned is based on stock kernel.
