Can somesome shed some light on recovery issues for i9505

Can someone explain why we have so many issues with recoveries for the i9505?

Seems to be so many variations, but they have their own issues.

Some with dodgy clocks, others taking up to 10 attempts to flash ROMs, and then some work on TW ROMs and some on CM ROMs.

Also seems not to work with Aroma.

Can someone shed some light on this please? Normally we have a fully working recovery very quickly. What's different about the i9505?

I'm using PhilZ CWM recovery and I haven't come across any issues.
It's flashed every theme, Rom and kernel I've thrown at it first time.
