Can the theatermax/vr mode of Lenovo Vibe k4 Note be replicated on other phones?

Is there any app or way which can replicate the vr mode of Lenovo Vibe k4 Note. I am not looking for an app that can just play videos in vr but it can also split the screen of non vr games like native sbs and can be used in any phone.

seems like the code being used in the only competing sbs , native sbs , must be piggy-backing off of the higher end
phone code for the device , thus it is why they are having problems making it work on the 95 percent of all android phones,
even higher end phones with custom roms are not working with it.

just be honest then , and tell the testers and public it will only work on 1 percent of phones , please devs.
