Samsung is offering $800 for Note 20 Ultra or s21 Ultra. I have an s21 ultra so I did the trade in and they also added $240 on top for the pre order discount...then later on that same night they gave me a $50 off promo code so after taxes I bought my s23 ultra for 903...I'd say that's a pretty sweet deal

Did you order a 1tb model by any chance?

512gb. they were offering that for the same price as the 256 model
Oh yes i am aware of that. I placed my order on 2nd for 512 gig model too and i got 800$ off and another 30$ on top and i got the phone for 861$ including taxes. Are you sure you got that 240$ discount cuz if you did , your phone with trade in and 2 other discounts worth 290$ total, should cost you 560 before taxes.

Pre-Ordered from Telus with a EPP Plan 512gb Green. Only change to my plan was that it costs me $1 more for 50GB of Data with all the other benefits on a 2 year agreement.

I think they were offering me around $750-800 for my S21 Ultra. But haven't traded it in yet. So in total, paying $1465 (Original Cost on Telus $2335 - $870 (Their device 'discount for being on a 2 year term) = $1465. Since its a lease, I pay $35.63 a month for a total of $855~ after 2 years. If I choose to keep the device after the 2 years then I pay an additional $610.

I kind of regret not pre-ordering from Samsung now, but you live and learn.

I called in to Samsung and changed my color from blue to black and now my ship date shows Feb 7. I was not going to stand the fact they billed for a phone and then weren't going to ship it for 6 weeks. Original ship date was March 17 for the blue S23

Whoever gets their s23 first, please check if you are able to get OEM unlock in developer options. Thanks

My order shows "awaiting dispatch". There is no original ship date showing other than "Starts shipping on 15/03/2023"
My credit card has been charged so I assume it will ship soon.

FFS, Scamsung "saving the planet" by NOT offering a pre-installed screen protector, but sells you one. WHICH SHIPS IN MARCH.
Hypocrite company...same happened with the charger and we all went and bought first a 25w charger, then a 45w one. Take that, planet!

Even Poco gives you a case, a protector and a charger.... come on Scamsung and Apphell.

Guess you don't understand how Samsung Billing practices work. They always charge your card as soon as you place an order. That's to verify you have the funds available. (Temporary Hold) Then after 3-5 days the charge disappears and you get the funds back until the phone ships. Then they will do the actual billing on your card.

My phone was supposed to ship Yesterday on February 7th but all it did is change to preparing for dispatch. I reached out to Samsung and the agent told me I should get it by end of week. But my buddy who ordered the phone 2 days before me was told 3 to 4 weeks. I'm thinking Samsung wasn't ready for the demand. Anyone here got their orders shipped from Samsung?

Did your buddy order an Samsung Exclusive color? I was told the same, if you ordered an exclusive color the phone wont be shipped until March, if you ordered a regular color, your phone should be shipped shortly.

Still no March update in Canada and it's almost the end of the month. What is up with these slow ass providers.
Updates are useless. You'll notice zero change.

What's the difference between the Canadian version, the S9180 and S918B?
    Thanks!
Nothing at all. Just different regions. The S918B can be bootloader unlocked. The Canadian cannot.

So only a warranty difference then?
Pretty much. I've purchased my last 5 Samsung devices outside of warranty and country and only had a screen issue and paid for it. Other than that, Samsung has a pretty solid quality history.

Serious question. All these people on Facebook Marketplace, how do most of them they get the phones they are selling? Second question....has anyone done business with PDA Plaza? Good experience? What's their warranty really worth?
Believe for example Telus has a limited 14 day return window on in-store phone purchases, 30 days from online. Could be from people just deciding they don't like it and out of that return window. I don't believe the ads that state they "bought 2 to see which one they liked".

Given issues with some devices I'd only buy something I can personally check in person (also opening the box to make sure its not full of potatoes), and no shipping.

If in doubt ask for IMEI and do a check https://swappa.com/imei
And check both the one on the box matches the one in the box.

Just had an automated FedEx call to say I'm going to receive a package that requires signature tomorrow (Thursday). Samsung still shows status as prepping for dispatch but I can't imagine it's anything else that the phone

Same here. Looking forward to the improved photo / video capabilities and the extra HP under the hood.

Same. Just traded in my s21 ultra they're giving me 800 discount for it I thought that was very decent for a 2 years old phone! And the free upgrade to the 512gb/12ram variant is a nice touch too (apparently the 256gb only has 8gb Ram?). Now hopefully they ship it a bit in advance ;)
