Serious question. All these people on Facebook Marketplace, how do most of them they get the phones they are selling? Second question....has anyone done business with PDA Plaza? Good experience? What's their warranty really worth?

Believe for example Telus has a limited 14 day return window on in-store phone purchases, 30 days from online. Could be from people just deciding they don't like it and out of that return window. I don't believe the ads that state they "bought 2 to see which one they liked".

Given issues with some devices I'd only buy something I can personally check in person (also opening the box to make sure its not full of potatoes), and no shipping.

Freedom Mobile 512GiB variant = almost the same cost as a 1TiB variant from Samsung.

Makes any trade in offer pointless. Any "savings" isn't -- and at most you "get back" $300 with a trade-in + trade-up.

They had the same phone value when they had their 256 -> 512 "upgrade" during the preorder window.

I flashed U1 to get the March update and there's an issue with the display driver in it... Image ghosting and refresh rate issues. I'm thinking they held it back until they fix it.

We're in for a long wait. Having had a S21ULTRA before this, I can tell you, this was the norm: Kanukistan gets the updates 30-40 days after the initial release.

Never seen one in 10 years. Rogers/Fido, Telus/Kodoo publish theirs, Bell/Videotron never do.
That being said, in my experience Canadian carriers post an update within a couple of days of each other, therefore checking Rogers or Telus gives a good indication what to expect.

Of course you can, but all of the "W" models get released at the same time so realistically it doesn't matter. This is one of the reasons why I flashed the U1 firmware to my phone, since US unlocked typically gets updates quicker. Although in this case, it probably was not a good thing due to the issues in the March update.

Yep, all NA firmware is interchangeable. However on the S23 note that the W model lacks the mmWave antenna so while you can unlock the 5G/LTE bands, mmWave still won't work.

That better not be true...camera software is in dire need of an update, some pics are absolutely brutal for imagine post processing.

I haven't noticed it. Then again, I'm not an avid phone photographer. I use a dedicated camera lol

A few weeks to a month. Recent example, March update. Has been out for a couple weeks for U1 and still not even on the schedule to be updated in Canada for any carriers.

Yes if you flash U1 you will receive USA OTA.
