Forgot to mention I wanted to get the Developer version and I thought it did support AWS. I'm not concerned with switching carriers as I'm on Public mobile (Telus) and their $45 deal is way better than anything Rogers/Bell offers. The developer version supports 700 Mhz and 1700Mhz/AWS bands so the phone should work with Telus/Bell etc. If I understand what extended LTE coverage is then I don't think it's a concern as I don't go out to remote areas very often. Please correct me if anything I've said here is wrong.
I'll be confirming if the imei works before bringing it to Canada.
I should clarify that its AWS support is for LTE. It doesn't support AWS over 3G frequencies which is what WIND Mobile uses.
LTE band 7 is used for Rogers' LTE Max which is capable of speeds up to 150 Mbps. Regular LTE tops out at 75Mbps. You can check out the coverage maps below to see if you'll benefit from this.
