what are you afraid of? something that can be pushed even through our blocks/firewalls?
Im sure if IMEI block then doesn't matter whether or not your phone off

btw, do you know anything about rooting/relocking htc? im trying to bring my old HTC 1 to life

So far as of Thursday, Dec 15 11:42 am Pacific Time, my Note 7 on Koodo is still working.

Koodo on N930FD still going and I haven't paid my bill in three months going on four!

Koodo KILLED the signal, wifi, and my sim card. Note 7 on Koodo network is no longer working.
My phone still shows a signal but it won't make a call. Then after re-booting, I have loss my wifi and it says invalid sim.

SM-N930W8 shipped directly from Samsung Canada.

Update : After rebooting, and 15 minutes later, my wifi is working. But no calls and no text.

Yeah...not worried about an OTA but something else..want to keep the device intact for now...it may come in handy later.

RIP Note 7. Blacklisted overnight. Wifi and Bluetooth still intact but no calls or texts. Heartbreaking.

I know the feeling. Had the same thing when 60% update went through because I was too lazy to disable and no fix at the time.

Everything is possible but I really doubt they will be able to push anything on us. All they have is blacklist card.
Most of the population is not on the forum so the update that they do push will catch those.
The only stress I have is that if I lose the phone now I really do not want to spend money to get something I don't like. If we were in March or even summer when new n8 was around the corner, I would care less.

I have managed to block the carriers from stopping me making phone calls by rooting and installing the custom hydra rom which you can get from this web site. When custom rom installed it wipes your IMEI number, which lets you still make and receive phone calles. BUT My data has been blocked I can no longer use the internet without wifi. DOES any one know a workaround to geting data working???

Like I said in the other thread installing a custom rom does not wipe your imei number.

And how many threads are you going to post the same thing dude? That's like 3 so far lol. Spamming isnt something that you should do here...just some friendly advice.

I find it very odd that calls are working but data isnt though, this is very interesting

Same thing with my note 7 on Telstra in Australia. Phone got IMEI blocked ( checked on website, comes up blacklisted ) I could still text, but was unable to make or receive calls or use mobile data.
Wifes phone was IMEI blocked, She could text and make calls, but not use mobile data.
Both phones were running Hydrarom with packages disabled for updates.

you guys should get rid of those time bombs while you can still get something from your carriers for them..I assume there will be a time limit, so if you dont turn it in for something else by that deadline, you have a non working time bomb, with no option to get any money back from Samsung/your carrier...
