Flashing rogers 20B on my phone was successful but I get this feeling it didn't full reset it and resolve my battery drain issues. Any suggestions for completely reseting and wiping my g5?

Anything relatively easy to do with the dirty cow exploit has already been tried. You can check @Honestly Annoying history to see what he did. The real problem here is the lack of devs looking to unlock the h831. If there was enough interest, it would probably already unlocked but thats not the case. I don't even think theres one dev with the required knowledge that own our specific variant..

So my guess is then, that's it for our beloved Canadian lg g5's.. No more root love, especially for those who are on nougat..

Hello!

Can you please describe how you flashed Roers 20B?

I did not found DLL for my H831 (native Rogers) to use LG UP method. Trying to OTA received "You product not registered yet" message.

Thanks!

Updates?

Has there been a update past March for this phone ?
There have been a couple of updates out there - one or two in the states. I am expecting an update on our version possibly in the next week if it follows the usual pattern. I have no actual knowledge of any update for the 831H except that when you see it happening elsewhere it often flows through eventually to us. Raising Faint Hopes.

what have the updates on the status contained? Just bug fixes and performance improvements?

It usually just says something to the effect of "bug fixes and performance improvements", and also comes with a security update. I don't think there's been an update since January for the H831 though, at least on Fido.

Having intermittent mobile radio crap outs since upgrading to v20b (7.0 with March update). Every few hours zero service and a reboot required. Anyone else?

1. Turn on phone
2. Dial *#546368#*831#
3. Go to SVC Menu
4. Go to Version Info
5. Go to SW Original Version; for me LGH831AT-00-V20b-BLM-CA-MAR-09-2017-ARB00
In this You see Your original carrier. For me is BLM

Guys I have an H-831 from Koodo and it won't let me edit or delete my APNs. My wife's phone is running the Bell stock ROM and it does not have this same issue. How can I flash my phone to the Bell ROM? I have looked into LG UP but there is no DLL file for the H-831. If any of you guys have experience with this I would really appreciate some info. Otherwise if you know how to unlock my APN settings without re-flashing anything that would be even better. Thanks!

I have a G5 to Freedom and I don't have the LTE mode. I only have GSM/WCDMA auto.
When I had the phone to Fido I was able to see GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto.
Do you know how to enable the LTE?
Freedom is refarming the towers in order to support LTE band 4/7
