CanBox versions

I know there are a lot of versions of CanBox but it's hard to find a bit more information (except some photos). So I decided to do a small reverse engineering of my version.
Someone will ask for what? Out of curiosity. Maybe will be helpful for someone in the future. Maybe someone will share what version he has.
But most of all because maybe someone has a firmware for the MCU? Maybe @hotaudio has such firmware (bin file or CANBUS.UPDE file) to any version of Canbox and help us? For educational purposes, of course.

It would be great to be able to upgrade this boxes. I have an Alfa Romeo 159 and dynamic guiding lines when reverse gear are not available.
I'm pretty sure that the car canbus has that data but the headunit box doesn't support it.

A bit offtopic Maybe but do you know a place where yoù can buy the canbus decoder boxes. I have some trouble with mine. I get information from the car but I don't have any sound at all from the little speaker. So no sound from parking sensors, blinking left/right etc.
My car is a opel astra j and I got this canbus. The unit is a px5 from witson.

Unfortunately, I do not know the place where you can buy the CanBox separately.
A few sellers (like this) have an offer where you can buy such a CanBox, but each of them writes that it will fit only to their units.

Although I think most CanBox'es are interchangeable between sellers. I am even inclined to say that many of these CanBox'es are interchangeable between car brands with the correct firmware loaded. You have a perfect example yourself. You have a car Opel Astra and the seller sold you a CanBox to the Chevrolet Cruze Both have CanBus with messages for GM but some of these messages are probably different. That's why the software in CanBox should be adapted for Opel Astra J.

Yes. We have tried many things. New head unit, new canbox, new harness and new speaker and anything have worked ? when I have tried all this they said the problem is my car but I almost sure it isn't. Because I get the notification on the screen from doors open and parking sensors so I just have to live with out the sound ? I wrote to a different seller to day and asked about the canbox. He sent me a picture of it and I could see it was still for a cruze but the software is newer so maybe that have fixed my problem but still waiting for answer if he will sell canbox only ?

How many CanBoxes have you now? Have you opened one? And maybe previous seller sent you any file to upgrade software?

I will. I only have one now and no the seller haven't talked about upgrade software on it. But I think I'll contact the seller and ask for this. I have tried open it but that's all but that's all ?

I bought a head unit and canbus combo from xtrons, the hard works fine but connect the canbus and all the lights in the car flash!

I sent it back as they said it was probably faulty, but the code on the back was for a different Merc (B200) and not mine (W164). Anyway, they sent exactly the same unit back and it still doesnt work. I wiah there was a way to just re-flash these devices, it looks exactly the same as the one in your photos.

Right now one that worked would be nice but xtrons are suggesting I return everything so perhaps they just dont have one that will work for my car.

In MTCD/E units the same. MCU in CanBox transcodes messages for buttons into specific(universal) messages for MCU in MTCD/E. Then MCU in MTCD/E (according to on canbus type: Simple/Raise etc.) are transcoded into specific(universal) messages for Andorid.

Just curious, because I have a Astra J myself and no probs with the canbus.

What you have to do is in factory settings, canbus 05GM Raise and it should work after unit reboot.

Ask the same seller who sold you the unit. He should have and maybe sell you
