Cannot start the Device after reset

I had some connection problem with my in car Bluetooth audio system, which caused the device to hang.

I had to take the battery out and in, for the device to restart.

Since then, I press the power button, getting the Galaxy logo, then the glowing S with the sound. and again the Galaxy S logo for a while, after a minute or two, the screen goes off and that's it. All buttons are inactive.

How can i make it work again?

go into download mode

then select wipe cache, and wipe data

Thanks for the answer.

I already decided to hard reset the device, and reinstall everything.

I'll keep in mind your advise, in case of a need in the future.
