I want to transfer .mkv movie(which is 5.5gb) to my nook HD+ external sd card. When I'm doing it, windows pops out saying that file size is larger than device limit, but I have more than 10gb available. Also it says that device doesn't support .mkv files, but I can copy .mkv files that are small. Is this because external sd isn't formatted to ntfs? Or is this something with .mkv files? I'm on succulent's CM11 latest build.

It's the limitation of FAT32 file system. exFAT file system supports larger files but I'm not sure whether CM11 supports it, never tried it myself.
