Can't get split screen to work on Huawei P30 Pro

Hi,
Just bought a Huawei P30 Pro which I love - the main issue I've got is that I just can't seem to bet split-screen to work. It's on EMUI 10.1

I've turned off the Multi-screen dock.

If I go to the recent apps screen, each app has a symbol above it to create a pop-out version of the app, rather than a split screen icon (as I've seen in Youtube videos).

If I click on that, I get a pop-out, e.g. of Youtube. There's a message saying to drag the pop-out window to where I want it, but I can't get it to 'dock' such that there's a way to set up a second app.

What am I doing wrong?

We can't do it on Android 10 with Emui 10 anymore.

Use the multi window dock, go into the first app, then open the dock and drag the second app you want into upper or lower screen, you get both apps open now, one up the other down.

You cannot do this from the recent app since you only get the floating window but can't pull any app now from the dock since it takes your launcher as the second app which the launcher does not support.

Thanks Doodledo - that's exactly right. Bit of a pain but I can get it work that way. I read on another thread that there was an app that made this better - any idea what that could be?
