Can't install downloaded apps

Anyone know why we can't install apps from the sdcard? Every time I try install an app from the sdcard it says instillation of downloaded apps inst supported. I know its easy to sideload them but I would like to be able to download one to my sdcard and install it like I can on my Evo

Are you rooted? If not, search the thread for rooting and follow the directions.

After rooting, did you following the directions here? http://www.nookdevs.com/NookColor_Enable_App_install_from_on-device_installers
