Hi everyone, I had the same issue and want to share how I was able to get it to work. I have a redmi note 8 pro.

I only used: Galaxy Wearable and Galaxy Watch5 Manager from google play directly.

Changed the permission of both apps to grant everything, also check the start automatically.

Then I opened the Galaxy Wearable app and click search, pared the watch (in my case it asked multiple times to pair after the 1 one, just clicked cancelled).

If the Galaxy Watch5 Manager does open itself, click on Overview( the square button) and tap the app. Took me multiple taps to get it to open. I had it get stuck on login to Samsung, if it happens, just close it and pair the Bluetooth from the phone directly (not using the wearable app) and it should open again, or tab the app is the overview till it opens.

From here I just clicked no to every option (removed the tick in the check-boxes), no login, no sending data, no gps, no internet, only clicked approve when given no other option. This is important because I tried all combination, and this was the only way it ended up finishing pairing with the phone. After that you can modify this any way so you are not loosing on anything really.

Sorry that I cannot give a step by step guide, It took me two days to get it to pare. Hope it somehow helps someone :)
hi, Gabun! thanks for the instructions, but i still can't pairing watches. I have the same phone and watches as yours. After i started pairing it asked continuously request to confirm pairing several times. Also even if pairing process is started than it started to find device again. I don't know what to do. Could you provide any other tips? also i don't understand clearly this part "if it happens, just close it and pair the Bluetooth from the phone directly". When should i do this? thank you in advance for any information.

I bought a galaxy watch 5 pro with Chinese firmware. they didn't want to connect to galaxy wearable. it said that the device does not support each other. I found instructions on 4pda. I will attach the link below or in private messages. the old version of galaxy wearable is installed there, the clock is connected, it is updated and everything works, except for the Google account.

Has anyone found solution?
I have realme 6 and galaxy watch 4. When I try to connect with galaxy wearable it gives option for pair with codes and then it just stays on pick your device screen. And on watch it says check your phone to complete setup. I tried every solution here but no luck.

For people still unable to connect to their watch cause the galaxy watch plugin keeps crashing midway, use the apk version dated for July 2022 through an apk site. Based on play store reviews I believe August version is buggy and September version hasn't fixed it. (Even though it says fixed)

Tested on OPPO find X3 pro CN and Galaxy watch 4
Apk info:
Samsung Health (Playstore)
Galaxy Wearable (Playstore)
Galaxy watch4 plugin (Apkmirror, July 2022)
Wear OS (CN Appmarket)

No extra permissions (such as battery optimization and background access) required. Install normally. If crashes once (at 7% or other percentages) try once more.
Thanks! With Galaxy watch4 plugin July's version works for me!
Any new updated working Galaxy watch4 plugin?

After trying a lot of suggestions from this thread, I managed to get it to work for me.
I have a Redmi Note 8 Pro and a Galaxy Watch 5 (both are global version).
The trick for me was using my girlfriends Samsung phone. I synced the watch to her phone. The setup process is ridiculously easy btw, the watch showed up on the phone as soon as it turned on and asked if I wanted to sync it. Anyway... Once synced to the Samsung phone, I updated the watches firmware to the most recent version. This took a while so make sure the watch battery is charged! After completing, I went to the watch settings and choose "Accounts & backup" -> "Connect to new phone". It'll reset the watch and put it in setup mode again. After that, I tried again on my phone and it worked immediately 🥰

Hi, I met this issue too with a Galaxy Watch 5 pro bought in UK and a motorola phone bought in China (with Google service on). I tried previous solutions here and explored several hours and get it done.

My solution is use Samsung Health as trick, and a Galaxy Wearables downloaded from a CN appstore inside moto.

First the Galacy Wearables will automatically update, but not to the latest version (i dont know why, but it did). Then use Samsung Health to connect the watch. Now it will return to the Galaxy wearables to downloads plugins and wearOS. After installation finished, just go back to Galaxy Wearables to continue. This will fail at first, but as I tried for several times it finally succeeded.

I got it. I did the following steps.
1 - Installed wear app (sep version), watch 4 manager (apr 2022 version) and wear OS china version. I don't change permison or clear chache, nothing. I didn't use Play Store to install them.
2 - I paired the watch using the Bluetooth menu of smartphone.
3 - When it paired, after the code, I started the process with the Wear app. Everything went normal, without fails.
After that, the wear pluguing and Wear app were updated to the actual version automaticaly by Play Store.
Note: I'm not sure if the Wear OS is relevant or not, I just installed it, but never use it during the process.

Realme GT 5G RXM2202 (CN version)
Watch 4 (Latinoamerica).

Hope helps.

I have SGW4 Classic paired with a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro and had no problems at all. No need Wer Os ap for pairing.
Do you have Wear Os ap installed and paired with another watch?

BTW, one thing for other readers of this thread - following @puki83 scenario I was unable to set up the watch from Galaxy Wearable directly, I had to use samsung health trick - adding a device inside it. The Google Wear app was added in the process second time as a separate app - and the one from APK Pure seemed unnecessary and I just unistalled it and everything still works.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! I'm using a Redmi K30 Ultra and I just bought a Galaxy Watch 5 without knowing that there is a pairing issue with CN rom. I saw this thread and tried all steps that was suggested by others but none worked until I tried what you've done. I was beginning to lose hope but I finally got it to work!

i use to use a galaxy watch 4 with a oppo find N (China Rom) and had the same issues and used the workaround posted earlier but i found this didnt work with the watch 5. What i had todo was as per below. Hope it might help:

  • China Wear OS installed (location permission given but dont open)
  • Samsung Health from Playstore
  • Galaxy Wear (from Oppo appmarket)
  • Didnt install galaxy watch plugin.

I went through samsung health to initiate the pairing with the GW5. This opens the wearable app which then updates automatically to latest version (same as playstore), and then downloads the necessary watch plugin and everything paired fine.

Before this i had tried everything but i think the key is to NOT have the watch 5 plugin installed when you start pairing via samsung health.

So far all seems fine with my china rom phone.

Good luck!
i followed all the above steps and i was able to connect samsung smartwach 4 with xiaomi redmi note 8 pro after many attempts in various ways . Thank you very much . I believe the key is not installing all of the above from the playstore. I also created a samsung profile and connected it from the Samsung wearable app which I also didn't download from the playstore. Of course, all the windows of the other applications were closed. I also contacted Samsung who in short told me to proceed with the installation with another mobile phone to prove that the watch was ok and that the problem was the mobile phone that does not support GMS Google Mobile services.

Hello everyone..

just wanna share how I FINALLY managed to connect my GW5 to my Mi Mix Fold 2. After spending like 12 hours on and off from Sat to Sunday afternoon. I was about to give up, and go back to my ZFold4 so that I can root my Mix Fold 2 at a later time just so I can use my GW5.. But the thought of having to transfer all my banking apps, whatsapp, wechat etc back to my ZF4 gave me pause.

After taking some time off to watch a movie, I decided to give it 1 more try. Previously, I have tried almost all the work-arounds except rooting the XMF2:

1) I did the trick to register the GW5 via Samsung Health
2) I installed the CN version of wear OS, and at one time, even had both the Playstore version & CN version installed
3 I did the trick to connect in safe mode (which made me lose all my home screen layouts after I booted back normally :((
4) I cleared data for the all the apps: Samsung Wearable, GW Manager, Wear OS and even Playstore & Google Framework

The problem that I kept getting was "This device is not supported" or "There is an error, please try again"

What finally worked was when I tried this:

1)I installed the Wearable apk (2.2.41.21071361)
2) Allowed it to "install from unknown sources"
3) Reset my GW5 until it showed the Welcome screen
4) Launched the Wearable app and paired it with my GW5

During the process, the Wearable app will automatically install the GW5 Manager first 116MB) & WearOS (16 MB). If we do not allow the app to "install from unknown sources", it will always return an error.

So during the pairing process, all 3 apps will go through several updates (2nd GW5 update was 122MB). Make sure to go to settings and allow "install from unknown sources" after each update.

Finally, the pairing succeeded. These are my versions:

Wearable app - from v2.2.42.21071361 to 2.2.55.23033161
GW5 Manager - from 2.2.05.23030741N to 2.2.12.23040751
Wear OS - 2.62.0495423372.le (The le means this is a CN version)

Pls note: I just started with 1 app - the Wearable apk (2.2.41.21071361). The pairing process installed the GW5 Manager & the WearOS automatically, and updated them to the latest versions.

Hope this helps others who are stuck too.

Realme GT 2
@everyone

If you still have problems pairing the Watch with whatever Phone, try this. (I have a Galaxy Watch 4 and Realme GT 2):

- Reset your Watch.
- Download Samsung Health & Galaxy Wear (DO NOT USE GALAXY WEAR APP FOR ANYTHING RIGHT NOW)

- Click the 3 dorts top right "..." and open "Settings".
- Scroll to the general section and click on "Accessories".
- There add your Watch, and do the Setup only through this.

AFTER setting everything up through Samsung Health you can open Galaxy Wear and change things on the Watch.

For everything else take a look at the very talented Dante63's Thread:

That and more Information is already available there, i don't know why people post numerous Threads and confuse each other, when it has already been solved, and everything is working.

There are also Tutorials how to get things like BP and EKG working.

If you read numerous posts above, some are successful using the Samsung Health work-around, and some are not. I am one of those who cannot get it to work. Do you think I want to waste 12 hours of my life trying to get my GW5 to pair if 1 simple trick can solve it?

For me: when Samsung Health tried to install the watch plugin, my phone returns an error: Something went wrong, please try again.

I uninstalled the GW5 plugin and tried again. I made a little more progress. But when Galaxy Wearable launched, it says: Phone is not supported or something like that.

Different pple have diff combinations of CN OS in their phones, and global version in the watches or vice versa etc. Which is why some work-arounds work for some and not for others...

I successfully paired the same watch with my Samsung Fold4 & My old Mi Pocophone F1 (Global ROM) in 1 try.. all through the Playstore apps. But my Mix Fold2 has a CN ROM, and it is too aggressive in its security settings & battery savings. I turned my security off when I set up my watch just to make sure.

Anyway, this is what forums like XDA-Devs are for: to provide help and guidance for all the different folks out there. What works for you (or me) may not work for others. SO any extra help & guidance will definitely help.

*Peace*

Hi can you please list the version # of each APK you used? I followed the steps but did not work. I am wondering maybe the versions of APK are different from yours.
    Hi,

    I used following versions:

    - Samsung Health - v6.22.2.007
    - Galaxy Wearable - v2.2.50.22072061
    - Galaxy Watch5 Plugin - v2.2.12.22081751(currently I have v2.2.12.22090751 as it was updated meanwhile)
    - Wear OS CN app market - v2.58.0.464203027.le

I had the same problem using a Realme GT (CN version) and a Watch 4. It could be because of Google Services that the chinese phones haven't. In my case, I got solved doing the follow.
1- You must have installed the Galaxy Wearable app and the Watch 5 plug in. I saw that you already have.
2 - I thinks that the problem is that the watch can't pair when you use the Waer app, but when you try to pair using the Wear OS app (CN version), you watch should be able to pair with your phone, so in this moment you have to try to start with the start the pair process with the Galaxy Wearable (you don't close the Waer OS, leave it in background).

This worked for me. I hope you can do it.

    Sorry my english.

    Hey Tech Tusks!
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Very Important: This post is only for Samsung Watch LTE Users - Especially when they are not able to pair the LTE connection of their Jio {(Prepaid & Postpaid) & Airtel (Postpaid Only)} (in INDIA) from their non-Samsung Android Mobiles using Samsung's Wearable OS App.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the quick article I mentioned in the post on One Plus Community. I am sure this trick works for all non-Samsung Android Mobiles.

    Link: https://community.oneplus.com/thread?id=1147575390370791424

Here is the detail from the same post - Just in case if you are not able to get through the above link:
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey, I was facing the issue with Watch 5 Pro LTE pairing with my One Plus 6 - Hope this fix will help you too.

I am using a One Plus 6 mobile as well. However, this fix I used for my new Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE :) I am a customer of Airtel (Postpaid connection Hyderabad, INDIA) and tried connecting my Watch 5 Pro LTE (And it should work for all Samsung LTE Wearables).

I had come across the following error while setting up the LTE pairing on my One Plus 6 through the latest Samsung Wearable App - Please make sure you also download Samsung watch 5 plugins besides the app.

    Error: http://es1.airtel.in/samsung-entitlement/UNDEFINED

It looks like we need to initiate it from Samsung mobile and then make a smart switch to the original mobile.

I found the following from other forums:

    1. Get or lend a Samsung mobile with Android 5+ models
    2. Put your Airtel postpaid sim on the Samsung mobile
    3. Click, "connect to new phone" in galaxy watch LTE
    4. Install galaxy wearable and plugin in Samsung mobile.
    5. Connect the watch to Samsung Mobile
    6. Set up mobile networks in the galaxy wearable app and follow the steps(2 mins work).
    7. Galaxy watch will be connected to Airtel postpaid sim.
    8. Disconnect from phone or give mobile networks -> Always on, u will be able to c tower indicator and airtel in galaxy watch.
    9. Change ur sim to ur one plus Mobile.
    10. Click " connect to new phone" and connect with your OnePlus (or another brand)Mobile.
    11. Don't attempt to do mobile network setup in OnePlus(or another brand).
    12. That's it. u can use ur airtel postpaid in ur OnePlus (or another brand) Mobile and as well in your galaxy watch.

Have a great time exploring the tech :)

    Best Regards,
    Siddhartha Reddy Burri.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

P.S: Guys please reply to my post if things have worked with the above steps for your non-Samsung devices - This post shall help many tech enthus.

Have a great time of the year :)

    Thanks,
    S!D.
