Just got the Allview x4 Soul Vision and need a few tips from Voga owners.

Is there a way (maybe an app) that allows the projector to be manually focused?

Projector looks ok in landscape but out of focus in portrait mode.
If it had a manual focus option like the Samsung Galaxy Beam, there would be no problem.

I am still hoping to find a solution, so I dont want to sell. This is really nice device ;)

!!! For all Voga V owners in the world !!!

Finally found Rom image on Baidu, here is the link:

https://pan.baidu.com/s/1skY7agt

or

https://pan.baidu.com/s/1ht3cem4

It's him !!! Look here:

https://shouji.tenaa.com.cn/Mobile/MobileDetail.aspx?code=A8VREHYQwYfeE5O0JsyKPj+cJJNbCbs0

... But unfortunately I am not able to create an account to enter and download the archive. If someone could create their own account to download it and then share the archive maybe on MEGA it would be fantastic for those like me who had a brick and would like to restore.

P.S. The image should be the one with the working Google Account. Look here:

On hold, hoping for the miracle ... Bye...

I do not have the Voga V. Is it a Mediatek based processor? The firmware is nowhere online to be found. However if it is an Mediatek e.g mt67##, it is very possible to do full backup of firmware and root, then apply tweaks that may improve it greatly.
I just did the same to the Moviphone projector phone which is mt6750 processor.

I don't seem to be able to find any selling Voga V available in US at this time. However I saw one available in Amazon UK but cant ship to US. Anyone wanna help how I can get one?

Hey Rovogen - this is Stuart, i posted the Google forum help post about the Voga V.

I did a check of the build.prop to find all the ID's that have the space in "VOGA V" so we know which ones may be causing the issue.. here is a sample dump of my build.prop file:

I tried to update the build.prop with a flashable zip, but of course that doesn't work as i don't have root. We need root access to be able to edit the build.prop, or wait for an OTA update from Ragentek / GreenOrange so get us past this issue.

Alternatively, we find someone who can get us a flashable recovery like TWRP or CWM - the Blackview S8 has a very similar spec / chipset to the Voga V, so maybe that's a path.

Lastly, there are 3 other phones that are semi-clones of the Voga V:

    Allview X4 Soul Vision
    Quantum V
    Moviphone

the all appear to be the same phone, but some have only 3GB / 32GB of ram/storage as opposed to ours which has 4GB / 64GB

Another interesting angle that i'm exploring is the MTK Engineering Mode / Application. You can access it by opening the dialer and typing:

    *#*#3646633#*#*
    1
So they pushed out a ROM update over the past few days, but unfortunately this didn't resolve anything!

    New build Number = VOGA_V06_26022018
    Custom Build version = apls-mp-n0.mp7-V1.24_rgk6750.65.n
    Baseband version = E55909_VOGA_LWG_N_MP_V0.0.1_S171129, 2017/12/01 17:24

I wish there was a way to contact Ragentek / GreenOrange

Hi – wanted to thank everyone for their efforts. My Voga V landed in the UK yesterday , and very happy with it. But of course no Play Store. I was able to update the google services easily enough so apps sideloaded that need the latest services version all work .

This might sound a daft question , but does the lens under the black protection cap have removable plastic protective film? It looks like it does, but I just can’t make it out and don’t want to scratch the lens….?

I don't think the lens has a removable film other than the applied anti-glare coat, which should not be removed (it gives the lens that purple tint)..

Your mention about "was able to update the google services easily enough so apps sideloaded that need the latest services version all work" does this mean that you were able to sign-in to google services? i.e. playstore or gmail or chrome etc? Or just that you could update the apps via sideload?
