For me it was the AMD cpu at fault (or rather the ****ty coded unlock tool)
When I tried unlocking with an older Intel system, it worked the first time without any problems whatsoever.

So I guess if you're on modern AMD cpu and you get this error, just stop wasting time and try it on an Intel based system.

Lol, stop using windows 10/11 or use reg patch for USB ( you can find it on XDA forum) or use windows 7 or even better linux.

Omfg crying babies, no one wanna use search...
USE USB 2.0 OR USE BAT FILE WITH CONTENT
AND RUN IT AS ADMINISTRATOR !!!!!

Code:
@Echo off
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\usbflags\18D1D00D0100" /v "osvc" /t REG_BINARY /d "0000" /f
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\usbflags\18D1D00D0100" /v "SkipContainerIdQuery" /t REG_BINARY /d "01000000" /f
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\usbflags\18D1D00D0100" /v "SkipBOSDescriptorQuery" /t REG_BINARY /d "01000000" /f
NOW REBOOT AND YOUR DONE!

How did you manage to do it??
The normal way, Look in the tudorials.

But my RMN 9 pro now, I could unlock with my Ryzen5 and Windows 10 too.
I have to sign in the Unlock Tool by QR Code. There was no other way to do it.

Don't shut down the Phone, open the Unlock Tool, in unlock Tool click on the right angle on sign in ,(Mi Unlock)
Than will open a popup with QR Code.

On the Phone go to Mi Account, click on the QR Symbol above the right corner and scan the QR Code.
Now you can boot the Phone in Fastboot Mode.

I hope it will helps!

Same Problems. Possible cause : problem IMEI number problem.
I think IMEI num is causing this prob. I used sp flash tool to format all and then download official ROM. Now my device don't have IMEI num. I think fixing IMEI would fix it. Maybe this IMEI is the parameter error. Just guessing. My device Redmi 6A

Hi,

I'm trying to unlock my redmi note 5 with the latest version of miunlock but I keep getting this error message at 99%: "Request parameter error"

My account is correctly linked to the phone, I have no clue what to do...

Thank you!
Can you try any other mi account?
BTW do you have your IMEI right. I faced a similar prob because of my IMEI num corruption.
If other mi account fail,
Try using Sp flash tool if your phone is mtk CPU based. I don't know any other way. Google . Sorry 😔

Same here: Redmi Note 5 Pro and the last global stable Miui 11 Rom.
I have enabled in dev options oem unlock, USB-Debugging and bind my phone to Mi Account (unlock status).
I saw the popup, that the phone is bind to my account.
    Mi Cloud find my Phone.

The Phone is connected with USB 2.0 Port.
I have try the newest and older versions of the Mi unlock tool as admin.
Every time the same at 99%: Couldn't unlock => Request parameter error
In the Device Manager (Win10) I find Android Phone and ABD Bootloader Interface.
    I think it looks good.

I have attached the mi unlock tool log file.
Where is the solution and sorry for my bad english.
It is not my native language.

    Thank you for comments :good:

If someone is still wondering, just connect your phone in fastboot and open Minimal ADB and Fastboot. type this "fastboot flashing unlock" and hit enter. This did the job for me.

    Superb!

just had to modify as requested

    fastboot flashing unlock
