capacitive buttons not working. cant activate on screen navigation bar.

Hey Guys, im facing a strange problem.

My capacitive buttons stoped working but the fingerprint sensor works just fine. When I boot into TWRP the back button is working. I tryed to activate the on screen navigation but I can't because the slider for activating it is dark.

I was on the first android pie beta and dirty flashed Oos 9.0.1 but the problem still remains. I am now using the xda navigation gestures to control my device. But the gesture command for going back doesn't work.

I'm using latest blu_spark twrp with oxygen OS 9.0.1.

weve got a OP5 on pie where the buttons dont work and we cant enable on screen for some reason.

stock un rooted OP5 on pie.

My friend has the same issue. He was playing in game mode and phone died. After restart no capasitive buttons and you cant turn on on screen buttons???!!?!?!
Cache is cleared and usual stuff tried.

I found a solution for the problem. As a user in opforum said, you have to enter gaming mode with capacitive button lock activated. Then enter a game and pull down notifications. End gaming mode by taping on the notification.

Thank you for the solution mentioned on the forum! Worked for me. What a relief! I badly needed the capacitive buttons to work on this Monday morning.

I have found a possible solution for this..
Last night I was playing pubg on my device and i use Gaming Mode (Fnatic Mode) where my buttons are disabled.
As i was playing my battery died and went to sleep.
Next morning I charged my device and started normally my buttons were not working.
Just like everyone i panicked, searched articles and called few experts to know what to do.

After reading this thread itself, I started the game once again and switched off the gaming mode when Pubg starts and everything started to work smooth.

Its a small bug but a bug.

To conclude, the phone is in Gaming mode & you need to start playing a game where you can switch off the gaming mode and it should work for you
