I don't think Waze would work too well if I don't have an internet connection, no? I am specifically looking for either a walkthrough to get Google Maps to default offline maps on the home screen panel (where it is showing a blank map currently), or a walkthrough on how to change the default Nav map on the home screen to HereWeGo (since it also has offline maps already downloaded). Thanks!
Google maps API doesn't allow to use and don't use offline maps. It has its own caching though, so after driving the track once with internet connection and screen with maps active, next several weeks it will keep downloaded parts and will show you proper maps without internet connection (I am talking from my experience here).
No. Only Google Maps and Yandex maps are supported.
Don't forget - there is no generic API for any map/navigation software, so for every software it needs to be implemented separately.
Same problem on my head unit. Did you find a solution?. I installed Simple Gallery and Google Photos but that didn't work.
Which gallery app is required by car launcher pro to open backgrounds and logos. So many named gallery
I got the same problem sometimes, it may app bug?!
To solve it, have to clear app data or keep using it for a few days and everything solve by itself!

Finally, my CLP do not show album art, titles, position indicator of the song for 2 weeks...
I re-install CLP to solve that trouble, and found the problem is from Notification Access: normally, there are ''Car Launcher Music'' and ''Car Launcher Navigation'' have access right to Notification, but somehow ''Car Launcher Music'' suddenly disappeared, when re-install CLP, it appear again and album art, titles, position indicator of the song can show as normal...
Just now I don't know how to prevent it disappear again or how to make it appear without re-install the app.

Hey, loving Car Launcher Pro! Been searching for a few little tweaks but can't find anything. Hoping for an assist.
I've got an iDoing 4G 64G unit in my Subaru, non HK, although not sure if that matters, other than the launchers seem to be fairly locked down to the functionality on the unit. CLP is set as my Launcher and mostly works fine, but there seems to be some wireless Android Auto weirdness when not using one of the stock launchers.
1. AA launches when I start the car. But sometimes it connects fine, sometimes it can't connect to the WiFi hotspot and sometimes AA starts but with a black screen. If I stop AA it will often just come back up and open fine. Seems like something with either the order of startup, or it's not shutting down correctly? This head unit uses Carlink 2.0.
2. Can the Launcher control audio playing via AA if I do go back to the home screen? The music visualization seems to recognize something is playing, but it can't be controlled and the song info is not correct. Seems to be showing last song I was playing natively on the head unit.
Appreciate any assistance!

On my previous radio I had made my own theme and saved a backup on dropbox.
Meanwhile new car with back Android 11
Now it's impossible to get back a theme I backed up on dropbox. I keep getting a black screen.

CL has only map view, no navigation.
have you tried to use 2 or 3 fingers swipe?
Visualizer can work only if audio output type of your music player is set to "AudioTrack", not to any opensl or aaudio.
Volume widgets should work on phones, but most probably won't work on headunits because headunits control volume over MCU, not via Android.

One potential enhancement would be to allow a search function within an icon pack. I dont see the icon pack selector in the Interface menu but i can change icons via the main theme screen. But it can be time consuming scrolling through large icon packs.
Ask CL developers about it. AFAIK, they don't read this topic.
I have problem with car launcher pro exiting from google maps and going back to home screen. Happens randomly, sometimes every couple hours, sometimes twice in 5 minutes. Maps are not crashing, app is still running in background. Any of you experienced simillar problem? Any idea what the cause may be?

Which btw can be up to 10% inaccurate, or even more if some muppet has fitted a wrong wheel and tyre setup.
In these days of excessive speed cameras that gps fed speed display is vastly more accurate than your vehicle and is a highly valuable feature.1
I have decided to go with Car launcher app, for me is the most stable and customizable in the market; here is my latest work, edited from free Theme1:
1I can give you only some instructions, because it is a theme transformation and can not be loaded - depend from one device to another;
So: the background is from internet, with a little photoshop; the 3d icons I' ve made also with a graphic program, and I also changed some fonts with an editor, and place them on the app. I can acces android auto, and the music player (MUSICOLET) will start from where you left; the phone app is DRUPE.
About how to change the items in theme (Theme 1 in this case) there are some youtube posts, but I can guide you to if needed.
