Carful if you factory reset the Turbo

I did not realize the factory reset erases the internal storage also. Luckily I always back up everything before I do anything like that. I actually did it about a week ago but got to thinking about it and Just thought I'd tell y'all in case someone else didn't know. Because my last droid did not do that and neither does my tablet.

Yup it warns you before you factory reset that it will reset your internal storage

Hmmm. I must have missed the internal storage part. But I always back up everything before I do something like that anyway. Because we all know things don't always go the way they should with this stuff LOL

Indeed, ended up having to go to my desktop to get all my music, videos etc. back in.

And custom recoveries like TWRP which have the option to wipe without deleting the internal storage.

True but like I said my last Motorola Droid didn't erase storage and neither does my tablet. But lil goof up like I did this time "I didn't read the warning" is the reason I always backup my stuff before I do anything major like that. This ain't my first rodeo. I learned my lesson about that way back in the DroidX days. Lol

If you did it through settings then it warns you that it will wipe internal storage. If you used recovery than no such warning

TiBu isn't a backup if you don't save a copy off of your device, in which case it becomes useful even after a factory reset.

That is why we have the Cloud, instead of an external SD card, right? We can back up the contents of our phone to the Cloud.
