Ok, I understand now. Is there a way to get latest version rooted or instructions somewhere on how to root the update zips?
Hi guys, the PC update links to Gdrive are not working any more.
Do we maybe have an alternative to download the updated file for the CP-600 ?
I need to reflash because the device is stuck in Boot Looping.
It's seems that there is a new version with Android 9 and Wifi 5Ghz...

These devices will give you a full blown android interface utilizing the Apple carplay protocol
You're likely to regret buying one of these buggy greyboxes if Android Auto is what you want.
Suggest avoiding these hacks and buying a genuine certified Android Auto unit.

CP boxes are all fine with UROID firmware (https://www.car4play.kr/product-page/uroid). No bugs works perfectly. Btw. there are no 'certified Android Auto unit" for Porsche or other VW group cars and it is uncomparable with full adnroid system in small plug-and-play device. I had bought myself a CP600, but not very fond of it. It doesn't have Dutch language (not a big issue though) and is very slow. Also, it doesn't recognize my car gps signal (even when setting the GPS setting to "Use car GPS"). That's why I returned it and looking for a better alternative.

I'm using it for watching Netflix and TV in the first place, but want to use it for other things (Google Maps, Spotify, etc.) as well. However, the seller on AliExpress assures me that this issue has just been fixed. Can anyone confirm this?

can I install UROID firmware on a MMB Carplay Android 7 unit? And how?
Yes, all CP-41, 91, uroid, MMB... boxes which look +/- same have same hardware. Just download uroid firmware, copy .zip on USB key, plug it to your android box and wait for a while for update screen. Nothing to reset or press, update starts automaticaly.

Overclocking without cooling would be a bad idea. Have you touched the Box when it's running?!

It works like in the car, it is good for playing with and installing in home.
Bluetooth is blocked only for phone connection. I plugged cheap BT dongle to the USB port of the AI box and now I can connect anything including of OBD2.
What is annoying is autohiding on-screen navigation panel. It would be better make the always visible navigation bar and all apks opening resized in the rest of the screen.
Generally it is pretty interesting and good working device.3I have been looking at this as well. I'm going to order one as soon as my wife will let me probably a month or two from now.
To my knowledge nobody else seems to be utilizing car play as a generic display output with touch screen support.
I can't wait to get a hold of one of these and dump the firmware, if we can replicate how they interface, perhaps we can replicate it In software.
Imagine Apple car play as a primary display, as an installable magisk module.
That would solve the issues of Android crippling secondary displays for DRM. It would also hola many car units to be repurposed closer to their users need. But also help to minimize e-waste and unnecessary wasteful economic activity. Too much hardware goes to landfills because of lack of standardized interfaces for DIY upgrades.

1. See the below picture. It would be correct.
2.It works only otg-usb. Not necessary any cable to working.
3.it takes car original gps and mic signal. You don't need to plug extra devices.
4. You can connect Bluetooth devices. But I don't use phone connection so I don't know the quality of calls
