The Foto isn't showing a cp600. That's a headunit with Android. With this carplay Button you can mirror your Phone to the headunit. The cp600 doesn't have this.

Cla45 with 2018 screen. CarPlay work with this device because i have it. Need screen mirroring and CarPlay wireless in one device

Why so you need that, If you have carplay!? Sorry i can't Help with that. I guess you have to Look for it on AliExpress yourself.
Guys I think there is a misunderstanding here.
The Car's Headunit has to support CarPlay and/or AndroidAuto, so that the CP-600 or such boxes can be connected and used. So, the CP-600 uses the Apple CarPlay protocol to operate on the Car's Headunit screen, GPS and audio / video / UI controls.
What xprox3000 is obviously wants is that the CP-600 itself again offers a CarPlay wireless interface to connect his iPhone to the CP-600 - which is not provided by such boxes.
Again, it's just a misunderstanding about what those CarPlay Boxes can do and what not
Yes need original CarPlay wireless with cp600. CarPlay work on cable usb and another device. No cp600
Read carefully. CP600P with Android 9 and no you can't Update your CP600, yet.

I'm very new to these devices, I came across them last week and had one delivered yesterday. I plugged it into my car but I seem to be missing the splitscreen button, I've checked in the settings and watched some videos but as I understand it should work out of the box.
I've looked through several threads here and seen some mentions of model numbers like CP600, firmware versions etc but I'm unsure how I check if I need to perform an update or the model number of the device that I have.
Here are some pictures of the system if it helps with providing me with some guidance on what I need to upgrade (if anything).

cp600 so far only supports android 7 and no wireless carplay. Even with android 9 it may not support wireless as cp600p has 5ghz wifi support. cp600 is only 2.4ghz. The wifi support may not be good enough for wireless.

It works like in the car, it is good for playing with and installing in home.
Bluetooth is blocked only for phone connection. I plugged cheap BT dongle to the USB port of the AI box and now I can connect anything including of OBD2.
What is annoying is autohiding on-screen navigation panel. It would be better make the always visible navigation bar and all apks opening resized in the rest of the screen.
Generally it is pretty interesting and good working device.3I have been looking at this as well. I'm going to order one as soon as my wife will let me probably a month or two from now.
To my knowledge nobody else seems to be utilizing car play as a generic display output with touch screen support.
I can't wait to get a hold of one of these and dump the firmware, if we can replicate how they interface, perhaps we can replicate it In software.
Imagine Apple car play as a primary display, as an installable magisk module.
That would solve the issues of Android crippling secondary displays for DRM. It would also hola many car units to be repurposed closer to their users need. But also help to minimize e-waste and unnecessary wasteful economic activity. Too much hardware goes to landfills because of lack of standardized interfaces for DIY upgrades.

2.It works only otg-usb. Not necessary any cable to working.
3.it takes car original gps and mic signal. You don't need to plug extra devices.
4. You can connect Bluetooth devices. But I don't use phone connection so I don't know the quality of calls
