UAG is always an amazing case :) A tad too expensive but does it's job extremely well. Have dropped my v20 many times and the case has always protected the phone very well.

Is there a flipcase for this phone that has got buttons? The only flipcases I've found, have got cutouts instead of buttons. Cutouts suck.

Here is my current case for the Lg V40 Thinq I really do like this one better than the Spigen case .

Don't get me wrong here the Spigen case is good and works well but makes the phone a little slippery in one hand and has NO protection for the screen. ( I do NOT like those pesky screen protectors they never stay on long and makes the phone look ugly.

So I remembered a company in Soul south Korea that makes these complete case covers because I have bought from them before for my HTC M8 back in the day Luckily i found them still on eBay and they sell the case for the Lg V40 Thinq so i ordered one and it came in a few days ago and it fits like a warm winter glove on all corners are protected everything is protected and NO SCREEN PROTECTOR is needed .

VERY FAST SHIPPING got mine in about a week give or take a day.

I have got the poetic bettle with holster and the otter defender with holster and I can say that the poetic is a better case. One good thing about the defender case is that you can put it in the hoster backwards meaning screen facing out. you cannot do that with the poetic. I have always brought a poetic case for my phones,, huawei ascend mate 2, 2- nexus 6p, axon 7, and now this lg v40. For every holster that I came with the poetics the clips would break and I would need to buy a new one from amazon. I will park the poetic bettle for the v40 and test the otter case for durability. I will keep you informed. One more thing is that the bettle comes with a made on screen protector and otterbox does not.

Just got my V40 as part of the Best Buy deal for $350. Needed a case. Bought a cheapie on Amazon because I liked the rear design, and it was junk. Also bought a Ringke Onyx at the same time from Amazon. EXACTLY what I wanted and expected in a case. Nice lip around the screen, aesthetically pleasing, and nice to hold.

When it comes to cases, I'm very much a minimalist. They don't provide as much protection from a drop, but they do well enough protecting from everyday scratches. I just got 2 diff ones from amazon that I'll have a tough time choosing between when I get my V40:

This first one is a Moko very thin lightweight case.

And the 2nd is by Aeska thin lightweight. Mine didn't even have the mfg name on the bottom corner like it shows in the pic. This one is def a fingerprint magnet, but that silicone feel is pretty grippy.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but, this case, by Spigen, is by far the best I've come across.

It's a bit frustrating, I looked on their website when I first got my V40, not listed then nor now. I didn't even know it existed. I searched Amazon for v40 cases, it didn't come up, maybe it would have in the later pages...

This one if for the minimalist, that's for sure. And it's the harder plastic, not soft tpu. But it has a very premium feel, it's very light weight, smudges wipe off very easily. The surface is a bit slippery, I prefer that to one that's 'grippy' but the finger smudges are almost impossible to wipe off.

I'd guess when these are gone, it may be the end of the stock? It's marked down to 8 bucks from 19.99.

And oh yeah, it actually has rounded sides, no sharp edges at all, very comfortable feeling.
