How's the grip of the case?
I pre-ordered my rhinoshield solidsuit case at the end of November and it finally shipped at the end of December and arrived a few days ago. It's awesome! Adds a bit of bulk, but still comfortable. 11ft drop protection. A nice white that compliments my white pixel 3 and I ordered a set of buttons to give it a nice red power button for a pop of color (the button pack came with white, yellow, navy blue, red, pink, and green). It's exactly what I was looking for in a case.

Pics attached taken on my old Note 8 in dim lighting.

I ordered spigen 360 case:
https://www.spigen.com/products/pixel-3-case-thin-fit-360

Review:
Looks like Cheap plastic.
Screenprotector is ok
Power button is bad fixed on case so u have very hard power button to turn on and off display... Its bad
Coeners of case are with radius of display, not of software softed corners, so its not perfect...
(When u boot up phone u see differents)

All in one it saves phone from all sides

I bought it cause i havent found a tempered glass for whole screen..

So just an update on the Amovo wallet case:
https://www.amazon.com/Pixel-Google-Detachable-Kickstand-Magnetic/dp/B07KTLV2S5

The quality is very good overall, but is a bit bulky with the wallet portion attached. Also, the wallet portion feels loose and oversized. The edges move back and forth freely when the case is completely closed, which drives me nuts. I assume it's a bit bigger to allow for a lot of stuff to be put into the wallet. It looks like it can hold more than I'd ever need.

What's really nice is the way you can open the wallet up and pull your phone right off because of the magnetic back. The case that's always on your phone even with the wallet portion off fits very nicely and tight. The buttons are ok and easy to press, but the volume buttons aren't raised. The power button is, but just a tiny bit. It makes it a bit difficult to feel for the buttons without looking or trial and error, at least for me.
I had a bit of an issue making it go into landscape mode, but once I got used to things, it is much easier to do now. (the phone has to be at the right angle for this to work, enough to tuck the flap backwards into the fold a bit)

I'd say if your looking for a wallet case and want one where you can hold a decent amount of stuff, this is probably the best case you can get.
If you're looking to hold a credit card or two and maybe a small amount of cash though, you can find something a bit less bulky and more form fitting elsewhere.

I'm looking for a case that mimics the two design of the phone and also offers the case in more than just black , so far I have only found the Spigen ( comes only in black) and the rhino shield case, but it it's very expensive , 30 euros and looks pretty thick , is it worth it? Do you have another alternative?

Just get any clear case so you can see the phones two tone design.

I've got this coming in: https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32951102771.html

It doesn't look like a case that will offer up much drop protection, but I love the built-in ring/strap on the back.

Also another case I'm interested in is the Spigen Slim Armor. If anyone has used/is using it, please post your experiences with it here. I'm particularly curious to know if the kickstand is flimsy or solid and what you think about the case overall. (bulky? swiping from edges of screen easy? solid feel? etc.)

Can anyone please help me find a waterproof case for my Pixel 3? I bought the life proof and Otter box and both of them came without a sealed camera and fingerprint sensor...

The grip is pretty average. I definitely wouldn't call it grippy, just a typical smooth case, but the drop protection keeps me from being too worried about dropping it. Its not much thicker than the Spigen clear case I was using before, so it's comfortable in the hand.
how much have you payed for it? any discounts? with the fees it will cost to me 42€..i like the case but thats too much

and whats the wallpaper? :)

using that case with my 3xl now, only without the ring. I've thought about getting that version but I'm worried it will break wireless charging. the second day I had the case and installed my Whitestone I dropped it about 5' onto concrete. the case took a pretty decent ding and I chipped the protector, but the phone was surprisingly unscathed.

Hey just to warn you that no case can offer 100% waterproof protection for a phone. They certainly can't guarantee it will keep your phone dry if submerged in water. I recently read about someone not far from me who had a life proof case on their new expensive iPhone and dropped it in water accidentally. They thought oh thank goodness I had the case on, but when they checked, the phone was water damaged and completely bricked.

That said, I guess it doesn't hurt to do everything you can to protect it as much as possible, especially if you really need it.

Yeah it is true that no case is 100% waterproof but the life proof case on my Pixel 2 offers more protection than the life proof cases for the Pixel 3's. An example is that the life proof case for the Pixel 3's do not cover or protect the camera or the fingerprint scanner. To many people this probably isn't a bit deal but I work in the Oilfield so any little opening in my phone that is not protected, will get ruined lol.

Oh yes that is definitely a reason to be looking for a waterproof case lol.
I wonder why they didn't include a way to protect the camera and fingerprint sensor for the Pixel 3? I'd ask them what's up with that.
Yeah other than life proof and otterbox, I have no idea either. Hopefully someone else knows of a fully waterproof solution.

I think I paid around $30 usd when I ordered the case and buttons from rhinoshield's website with a 10% discount for black friday. The biggest discount I've seen was 15%. I would've ordered from Amazon if I had known that Amazon was going to have them in stock around the same time as they started shipping from rhinoshield directly. The case ships from Taiwan, so the shipping time is around 2 weeks, but Amazon could've gotten it to me in 2 days.

The wallpaper is one I made a while back when I used to create and share wallpapers on Google+. It's from my HollowGlam series. I've attached a couple of them to this post. Enjoy!

UK Pixel 3 user here!
After loving the Pixel 2's Spigen Slim case (despite it cracking slowly despite never being dropped...) I ordered the following from Amazon. Given that the Pixel 3 is even more slippery to hold than the Pixel 2 I needed something grippy. I was disappointed by nearly all.

  • Spigen Thin Fit Case £9.99
Unbelievably, this is more slippy than the phone itself, and way worse than the P2 case. I don't know why, there's a two-tone back which is (again, unbelievably) kinda grippy on the small top but the majority of the case just slips through your hands. I honestly don't know why they did this but given the top & bottom of the case don't cover the phone I felt very uneasy holding this. Matte surface is useless like this for grip. I'd actually prefer the P2 case on the P3. Why, Spigen?!
  • Spigen Rugged Armor Case £9.99
Top & bottom coverage, and tyre-grip surface appearance, but still feels it's about to fly out my hands. Odd. Safer than the thin case but kinda ugly.
  • MoKo Google Pixel 3 Case £7.29
Similar to the Spigen Rugged but less 'premium' feel, and didn't feel very sticky/grippy in hand. Prefer pure black Spigen rugger.
  • Anccer Google Pixel 3 Case £9.99
Slim, svelte, sleek. Matte finish. What the Spigen Thin should have been in appearance. Incredibly non-grippy, the worst of the lot. Again, these are all *more* slippery to hold than the phone back & sides itself. Shallow lips so screen protector needs to be 2.5D else you'll catch the edge. Best looking of them all if you don't need full coverage and like holding slippery expensive things. Almost my fave as makes phone look great in a case.
  • Olixar Google Pixel 3 Gel Case £4.99
Cheap, full coverage top bottom & over buttons, glossy gel. Snug, deep screen protector lip, rubbery all over which sticks to your hand like, well, a case should. Wet fingers slide over it but still less than all the others. Very easy to hold & not slip out of hand. Feels & looks ok, like a 'good' cheap gel case. Unassuming. Deepish cuts for fingerprint scanner & camera but looks fine. Definitely my fave for protection & grip, just not appearance.

I've returned all except the Olixar case - I run with this phone a lot and do not want this breaking giving its expensive & ceramic/glass(?). So disappointed in the Spigen Thin given how good the Pixel 2 version is. Hope this is helpful for any in the UK looking for a case!
