Dear everyone who is going to buy HTC Radar,

Today I have been to Saturn in Mannheim, and have taken a look on the Radar. The one I saw in other shops before was SLCD, which has a good viewing angle. However this time is a TFT, which changes color and to negative in certain angle.

Just to recall the "Trophy Incident" in last year November, below is the link:

I suspect Titan may have the same problem once price is going down, as HD7 and Pro was also the victim in this incident.

For all HTC buyers, please check the monitor before you buy, good luck!

HTC did this very thing with the Desire HD/Inspire 4G. It's one of the reasons I don't bother with HTC anymore. The other brands are better anyways.

They told one person who posted about this a long time ago here in XDA that the "S" in S-LCD is just an advertising term and doesn't designate the display tech being used. They also said it indicated a "Super" sized LCD.

Well, if Android, I'd simply straight to Nexus series, to avoid those sxxt tuning from those brands.

Super size.....I don't think so, it should be the characteristics of the LCD panel itself. Moreover the price different of TFT and SLCD is not that large, do not understand what HTC is thinking.......

Microsoft relaxed hardware specs, so HTC decided no one would care, and pushed the low end hardware to the windows phones?

Well, if this is true, then I have one of those TFT's built into my device. Because the black is really grey, especially at sharp viewing angles. The colors are quite vibrant though. The biggest problem with my display is purple, because it turns into a magenta if the display is being angled.
