The newest version of Deep Darkness has it working for the most part but I see what you mean.
As @Khizar said, I did some testing before reverting that. When you type something into the URL, you actually get unreadable texts that need your eyes to be squinted to even read on a black background.

they can't. it breaks after modifying, like g+. Google just keeps making their apps more and more closed source... I think the CM browser would get themed though...

I have one question, where is located the "bootanimation". I have created one for my girl, and I have try changing an existing one on "system/media" and that was the original bootanimation from CM12.

I spoke with the team yesterday and will be doing Arcus builds for all of the themes, and Blacked Out will be an addon.
How will this change the game?
- Dark Material R+ and Blacked Out R+ will become "dark regression+" (dmbor+)
- Dark Material and Blacked Out will become "dark material // blacked out" (dmbo)
- Blacked Out Donate will be known as blakZent, with akzent features all in one. (blakz).
All 3 themes above will come as Arcus-ready packages, so get ready for Arcus. Why am I doing this? This prevents the many update errors when managing 6 different, mutually-exclusive themes and keeps updates consistent in a faster manner. I will also be willing to push more frequent updates through this system.
What will happen is, the BO!, BO!R+ app pages will be unpublished once DM, and DMR+ pages are ready to take on the Arcus-ready update.

Hi, @nicholaschum I'm having some trouble when trying to install an akzent theme built with arcus. Package installer reports "error parsing the package", maybe it's CM related? I'm on latest (march 5th) official CM nightly for titan. Please take a look at the latest commits and tell me what you think, in the mean time, I'm rolling back to 4th march build.
Edit1: I tested with 4th march CM13 and still getting parsing error. Akzent is unusable for me ATM.
Edit2: Just tested out building blacked out with arcus, parse error once again. I'll Try a fresh ROM install and update this post accordingly.
Edit3: Clean flash solved the parsing error. Everything is fine now.

ABOUT DARK MATERIAL
To understand why this theme doesn't follow Google's traditional "Material Dark" design with dark teal and/or blue grey, I will briefly explain.
This theme wasn't based on Google's Material Style, but was mainly influenced by the "Tinted Status Bar" mod's results, where it completely made the action bar into one fused item. I really liked this design, which made the system more minimal as it had two layers to look at, rather than 3 (Action Bar Primary, Action Bar Primary Dark (status bar darkened color) and the fragment layer (the interacting area)). The fact that I named this theme "Dark Material" over "Material Dark" was because I wanted to depict a dark, physical metamorphic rock - "slate", and it's color. As the color scheme of this theme is mainly dark (black, grey and white text), I added the word "Dark" in front of my interpretation of "Material" hence the title "Dark Material". Themes that follow Google's Material Dark, should show up as "Material Dark" to ensure consistency (see Google keyboard settings for reference).
This theme is the MOST COMPLETE, MOST THEMED, MOST FREQUENTLY UPDATED (WITH NEW FEATURES AND NOT ONLY BUG FIXES) dark theme out there with over 80 themed apps and a ton of system modifications enhancing the true Google Material spirit. I aim to increase the standards for free themes by providing a solid, workable and easy base theme with little to no bugs. Partnering up with dozens of theme devs out there, I hope that my theme is used as a "phase-theme" - meaning that it isn't meant to be a competitively used theme nor shall I claim that this theme is the best theme out there. I just provide a theme that people can enjoy, and hope that the community would enjoy the ride with me along the way!

Boot Loops?
I have created a flashable zip for TWRP/CWM that uninstalls ALL of my themes in one swipe. If you're having a boot loop, you must have a custom recovery as a prerequisite to follow this.
I haven't tried this on stock Cyanogen recovery (Cyanogen OS 12/CM nightlies recovery), but it should work if you try using it in Apply Update Zip.
