CECT-SHOP sent me TA-1000, not TA-1003

They erroneously said they had TA-1003. Now i have a TA-1000.
They flashed some kind of multi-language custom firmware on it, but it can not receive any OTA updates.
I don't even know where to get that firmware or if this version of the phone will receive any proper custom firmwares.

Is it worth it keeping this phone? Should i send it back and wait to get my hands on the international version?

I am just worried that everyone will develop for the international version and not this one.

This version has been released for months now and no one has many any custom firmwares or anything for it.

Are there any hardware-differences between chinese version and international version?

Can TA-1003 rom be flashed on TA-1000?

I ordered mine from cect shop as well. It said TA-1003 first in the settings but after a factory reset it's now displayed as TA-1000. I think they just tinkered with the config and changed the model name. I'm pretty pissed as well but i don't have another phone at my disposal. It's also a drag to return a phobe from Germany to Hong Kong. And since i like the phone I'm just stuck with it I guess. But I think I am going to contact them about it.

Contact them and point them to the matter.
I took screenshots of all the posts they made about it being a TA-1003.

They offered me a partial refund of the price i paid. I had not received a reply from them about it, yet but if they do not respond with an offer, i am simply going to open a PayPal case about and provide images as proof.
