same bro my phone also struglingI am using Airtel, Jio and Reliance GSM 4G sims in India and I have compared signal strength of Note 8 with Redmi Note 4, Nexus 6P and LYF Flame 1 mobiles.
And I found Note 8 to be having the weakest signal reception strength. Same pair of sims when used simultaneously on these phones, (not nexus 6P as it is singal sim) Redmi Note 4 and LYF Flame 1 never had any issues with signal reception. But with Note 8 both Reliance GSM 4G and Jio sims are having almost no LTE signals and for Airtel where other phones show all 5 bars, note 8 have 3-4 bars.
I am not sure if this is the problem with just my phone or others as well in India.

Is it when you are on mobile data or wifi? Maybe your router if the latter?Sometimes my internet connection "freeze", the connection icon on the status bar it's ok but internet doesn't work anymore. The solution is turn off and then turn back on the connection and it'll work. Any ideas?
If your connection is slow, it is probably because Cricket throttles the top speed on their plans. To quote Cricket:I dont know where you guys are getting your LTE speeds from but I'm jealous...tmobile note 8 on at (cricket)
Yes I'm fully aware....If your connection is slow, it is probably because Cricket throttles the top speed on their plans. To quote Cricket:
"The Unlimited Plan (previously the Unlimited 2 Plan) offers data speeds at a max of 3Mbps". You have to get their "Unlimited Extra" to get any faster.

Sorry I did not means test that last comment what I was trying to say is yes I'm aware that they throttle the high-speed internet I am currently on the unlimited high-speed plans that they will swaddle after 22 gigs however I still managed to go over a hundred gigs every month when and if they do throttle it it's hardly noticeable....it's nothing like when they swallow you from LTE all the way down to 2G networkIf your connection is slow, it is probably because Cricket throttles the top speed on their plans. But on the lighter side here's my latest speed testIf your connection is slow, it is probably because Cricket throttles the top speed on their plans. To quote Cricket:

but I do have to say I certainly do have a love-hate relationship with this phone it is by far the best and fastest phone I've ever owned however because of the current bootloader I'm on it can't be rooted therefore I hate this phone and I'm ready to throw it in the garbage but I can't throw it away because I love this phone...but hate it.etc.etcIf your connection is slow, it is probably because Cricket throttles the top speed on their plans. keep in mind that depending on who your provider is the 4G and LTE are probably the exact same thing the 4G and LTE are only describing what came after 3-g Network.......
