Do you have any idea where I can get the apk for carplay ? It came with the car but it's not working, there should be a bypass for this hopefully

tried same cable with android phone and it got recognized by my pc, so I believe the problem is within car itself, either adb mode not really activated, or they unplugged its cable from usb data plug (got my car in Saudi Arabia)

for app recommendations, got most of them from 2 dongles I used to connect it to my car, but I have every time to reset car settings to be connected, and they have alternative apps for carplay (wireless connection), android auto, many helpful apps,

I'll get the list of the apps from it, also I'll try to extract their apks so I can share it directly with you.

meanwhile, it might help me if dial *#*#888 and take pictures of each tab menu, maybe I missing something.

also, there is app called Apk installer, it will force installing apps that not meant to be installed in car head unit, so you can start from it.

for your expansion plan, I would also recommend to have 128 mb micro sd card plugged in your car to have extra space for apps storage and cash (youtube and netflix), if it crash when you try to set the settings of storage, change the user from advance settings to guest then go to same menu and chose delete guest it will got you back to owner user, then you can go to storage and format sd card as internal storage,

you can also go to developer mode, and activate the option: force install apps to external storage, it might force install new apps to sd card, but no worries if you have it as internal storage it will shift extra storage space to it.

Actually I made progress !
If you go into the developer options there is a default USB connection thing that you can set to data transfer, and then if you do go ahead and go to the menu outside and set ADB from that other button it will connect to a pc.

So i tried the following command with ADB tools,

.\adb.exe install -g "C:\Users\vx_10\Desktop\platform-tools\android_auto.apk"

but keep getting errors

thanks for sharing this information, I have Changan Uni k 2023, and I used same steps you mentioned, and I got chinese panel, however, I found if you go to the second tab USB you'll find 2 options 1- using usb as an input, 2- using usb in ADB mode, I activated the ADB mode but still my laptop didn't recognize my car unit,

hope you or someone else can help us from here.

It suddenly appeared that adb could not be recognized, and it could be used in the last second. After querying the computer device manager, it was found that the driver needs to be updated (usb_driver_r13windows.zip）

apple car play CarLife+ Did you install it successfully and use it normally? I installed Baidu Maps and the flashback problem is still being resolved.
