I'm not able to put a song that is in my Ringtones folder. How do I change the ringtone for my Moto G?

Custom ringtone solution

Hi there diogobuique,
I've been trying to do the same thing for over a week now, but I've found a solution.

Creating your own custom ringtone for phone ringtones/phone calls

Connect the supplied USB cable into your device, then into your windows computer Click on XT926 and Internal Storage.

Drag and drop your audio files to the Ringtones folder. (XT926\Internal Storage\Ringtones)

I tried using ES File Explorer app to copy and paste them to the Ringtones folder, as well as creating the media/audio/ringtones folders on sdard with no luck. It was only when I dragged and dropped them using the above method that the ringtone finally appeared on the list.

The guide above is for another Moto phone, you should look for XT1032, but it seems to work on the G UK retail.

I use Poweramp play a song and I just use the ringtone option in the drop down.
