I renamed PowerOn.ogg in system/media/audio/ui/poweron.ogg and added my own PowerOn.ogg and set permissions
it flat out ignored it and played the old sound file anyway. so I am guessing there is "another" set of sound files somewhere else and its not using the defaults in system/media/audio/ui/poweron.ogg
where might I find them?
OK I found it.
its the PowerOn.ogg in system/media/audio/ui/XAS
replace that one and your good to go Don't forget to set permissions.
PowerOff.ogg is just in system/media/audio/ui/
I am converting my sound files to 160kbps mono 44khz ogg and it seems to like that just fine.
I have attached the files if anyone wants to use them. it won't let me attach ogg files so I rar'd them up.
