Changing CSC on S8

Hey guys,
A little bit of topic, but maybe you will know something. So I bought US unlocked version, however now I'm living in Europe. So in a sense I'm using US phone in Europe. The problem I'm facing is LTE. My current carrier supports 4G LTE+ which would be something +++150Mbps, yet with my G950U1 I can reach only LTE (which is aprox. 12Mbps). I checked that s8 supports the requested frequences hoewever it is not working in my country for some reason.
So my questions is:
1. Is it CSC problem
2. If it is CSC problem... is it posible to flash other CSC (from European country) without bricking phone, because Europe version is with Exynos, and this - Snapdragon.

my suggestion would be 're flash the latest firmware again once installed then boot phone into recovery mode then wipe cache then format and reboot phone again one last time.

Hi, I'm trying to do the same as you. Currently Vod UK but want to go to BTU UK. Which files did you download and which ones did you flash?

My phone was on TNL (T-mobile branded Netherlands).. I've downloaded PHN (Netherlands unbranded) from sammobile, flashed through odin and use csc instead of hone_csc and now I'm on PHN.. Can also flash UK firmware if I wanted to..

Where you able to sign up the beta on XEU still or you got an non oreo OTA for your firmware?
Found my uk sim, wondering if there any spaces available in beta .

Yes, I am sure.. had some reports from germany.

The 3rd CSC Version is fixed into the phone. Buto OTA works.

The CSC Version under Service Provider Software in Software Information in Setttings says.

AAA/BBB/CCC

where
AAA is the current CSC
BBB is the recommed CSC for your SIM (if this CSC is inside your current Multi-CSC)
CCC is the factory CSC of your phone and can´t be changed

According to update trackers such as samsung-updates.com and sammobile.com, there is an update available for my phone, but I can't receive the update. Is it possible to flash stock rom with official Odin v3.13.1 without wiping data, like flashing the rom like BL, AP, CP and HOME CSC instead of CSC? And do I have to unlock the bootloader before proceding?

Your bootloader is unlocked already. It should be by default on G950F just make sure OEM unlock is enabled in developer settings. Are you rooted? If so there a flashable ZIP which you can flash CSC only. You can try flashing only the .CSC file which will wipe everythig but you will need a SIM card by the csc you need. So a LUX SIM card I believe. Then after boot insert the SIM.

actually, i can't flash firmware for my region GLB/XTC since it is still unavailable from sammobile or samsung-updates...i just tried to change it using that code and worked for me. i did that just to remove the carrier bloatware and wallpaper. i have SM-G950F from philippines.

Thanks for you guys. So What is your origin/original CSC?
I think this *#272*IMEI# method not apply all model, Maybe some of models CSC recognized this CSC change key command and other (include my BRI-Taiwan) CSC change key command not working.

Please share and update *#272*IMEI# keycode working CSC this thread. Its very useful information for ours. :highfive:
