Guess what I tried it with the touchpad

and the touchpad does not pick it up at all

very strange I don't know why but it does not work then I tried a htc charger which works very strange because it seems to have a lower output in amps but still the HP touchpad recognizes it But obviously will charge it at a slowly pace then the original HP Touchpad charger for which I don't know the rating I thinks it 2a and 5v but if this was the case then the note 10.1 charger should have worked with it as its also 5v 2amp but it did not

don't know why so its not with asking me lol the only difference between the htc and the note 10.1 charger that I can see below is the input amp so still don't know why

so any one looking to charge there HP touchpad with a galaxy note 10.1 charger be warned it will not work and I don't know why so its not with asking me lol

maybe some one on Here will know why there a lot more clever than me

I will try and list the rating of both chargers if I get a chance

Here are the ratings

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------'

Samsung 10.1 Note wall Charger. Which did not work

Samsung Note 10.1 charger
Input 100 - 240v 50-60hz 0.35a
Output 5v. 2a

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

htc charger which did work

htc charger input 100 - 240v. 200ma
OutPut 5v 1a

Yes, that's also the case for me. I bought a charger with 5.3v and 2a output. And when plugging into my Touchpad, usually it will just show an input of 600mA. It is said that Touchpad had a design which will try to identify if the charger being used is the stock one. If not, it cannot work to its full capacity. So one way to force our customers to buy their official charger which usually sell higher price. Damn it!

I tried mine with my Android phone charger and it charged fine (definitely NOT a 2A charger). I have used the phone charger as a backup when I travel and don't want to carry 2 chargers. Plugged in the TP overnight and it was fully charged by the morning.
