Hello, I heard that the USB3 port on the PRO 12.2 provides faster charging for the Note PRO 12.2. Could anybody provide the following info:

1. Charging from 0% to 100% while the 10.1 2014 LTE is unused.
2. Charging from 0% to 100% while using the 10.1 2014 LTE . I heard that for the 10.1 2014, recharging is not as fast as usage. So, even with the device plugged to to the power supply, one could use up the power. Is this really true?

Thanks.

The only benefit of the USB 3.0 port on any Samsung device (so far) is faster data transfers to a USB 3.0 Windows PC. S-800 has Qualcomm's QuickCharge chip in it which is why LTE tablets charge faster. The SM-P605 fully charges in about 5 hours. It takes Exynos versions up to 7. I have a Exynos version and it charges faster than whatever I'm doing on it when I use it while it's charging.

On the P605 the operating current is bypassing the battery, reducing charging current especially when the battery is low and can draw much power. Don't know, if the Note can consume more than 2A (when gaming?). Connected to a 500mA port, the power goes to the battery, reducing its drain, which is higher, when not in standby. Not healthy for the battery. With a 900mA capable port/power supply it should be the same.

Thanks. Do you mean the LTE version of the PRO 12.2 and 10.1 2014 charger faster because of QuickCharge chip rather than the USB3.0? I think the 10.1 2014 LTE does not have a usb 3.0 port.
