My other halves note 2 stopped charging recently. Thinking about replacing the charging port since it was already having problems (port seemed loose/intermittent not charging/angle the USB cable a certain way to charge). No warranty since phone is cracked and phone is bone stock down to the launcher.

However, I'm noticing each version has their own model number stamped inside. Is it critical to get the same model branded port or will the international models port be fine?

Thats not on the daughter USB board though is it?
On the daughter board have antenna connectors, and the "real" Antenna are on the Loud speaker module...

Samsung also selling different Loud speaker modules because of that, and you can't tell the difference just look from outside.

On original note you also have to get the correct "Rev". Its white print on the board. Rev 2.0 rev 3.0 etc.
Well hopefully it's correct because I already ordered and it's being shipped. Will tackle this Monday when I receive the part. I did get the i317 and I believe they are all Rev0.7 for the i317

No, I didn't really look that close. But I would take it apart and see if you left anything loose. How hard was the screen swap. Is it just a few screws and the board comes off? That note needs a new screen...and plastic housing lol...its beat to **** but still works.

The screen is attached to the midframe, so you pull it apart like your picture, then remove the mainboard and move it to the new midframe, connect everything, test, then complete the assembly. Pretty easy.

Don't even consider just changing the glass -- its impossible without a special machine.

$185 from ebay.

Stumped

I bought a replacement charging port for my sgh-i317m note 2 on ebay. it has the same rev 0.7 . I replaced it because the original terminal for the speaker had broke off. So installed the one from ebay , now I have no sound and no network after reboot and hard reset . I then put the original back in with a half ass solder joint. everything worked . I'm thinking the replacement I bought is junk.

3 Charging Ports for this model and none of them work

I bought 3 seperate ones and they all charge the phone but the sound, haptic feedback and cell signal do not work. All of them are sgh-i317 and the revision is 0.7. The only difference is the numbers under it. I don't know if they are lot numbers but I am having this issue and all the items are virtually the same except for this. Original is "R.C94(KH)24". The others are "R.CA3(KH)34", "R.CA4(KH)2", and "R.CB2(KH)38". Are these lot numbers or are they insignificant. I'm thinking I might try the SGH-T889 equivalent because the board on the phone has both codes for ATT...any suggestions?

The green LED light doesn't light up when I have my note 2 plugged in and charging. The phone doesn't even turn of when I try to turn on my note 2. I also tried replacing the battery. I cannot go into safe mode or do a hard reset/soft reset because the phone doesn't even charge. Before, my original charging port was charging but I had to position the wire and hold it in a different position which I couldn't use my phone. Then i replaced that broken up/degreded charging port with my brother's note 2 and it worked. Now the charging port doesn't work when I swapped it from my brothers note 2. What should I do ?

I can't find any other threads or websites that discuss the GSM/LTE antenna port on the USB daughterboard. I believe there is a pinout on the USB connector to attach an external antenna to the phone, but it's not documented anywhere that I can find. Would anyone with a daughterboard handy care to examine and probe the USB pins and the antenna port leads for continuity, so I can make my own external antenna adapter?
