Chat features not available?

Just received my 7T (replacing 6T). Pretty insane value given what it costs but... How come Google Messages is showing "Chat features not available". This became available on the 6T so long ago I don't even remember when it was.

Just received my 7T (replacing 6T). Pretty insane value given what it costs but... How come Google Messages is showing "Chat features not available". This became available on the 6T so long ago I don't even remember when it was.

Figured it out. Messages got installed and moved over from the 6T which seemed to be confusing it. Uninstaller and reinstalled and now it works.
