Hey guys!
so since i first got my phone i was not sure how to best protect it, as all of you were im sure.
most us don't like putting stuff on our BEAUTIFUL phones - knowing the Diztronic keeps the shape of the device and is cheap, that was my starting point - and to that i decided ill find a suitable screen protector.
thing about the Diztronic is that it fits like a glove, VERY tight fit to protect the phone - so it causes some issues with screen protectors as it makes them fold/lift in the corners.
id like to mention i see myself as pretty good at putting on screen protectors so usually the faults aren't mine.
first i tried the Xtreme Guard - at under 2 bucks it fit my goal. i got like 3 of them and put one on.
immediately a corner went loose -even tho i put that same corner in first,it will always pop out. removed it and put another one instead, this time i put it further from that corner, same thing happened.
the above happened to me also with: 16usd spigen screen protector (got from a friend), this one had most of the time 2 corners popping out, a nilkin screen protector.
after that i said: Maybe i should get a higher quality item, like Rhino, but they are VERY expensive and their warranty is crap, last year when i put my Wrapsol on wrong they sent me another just for that.
so - i put my eyes on Glass protectors. all SUPER DUPER EXPENSIVE - i wanted MIME, but people said the ghost (thicker one) has the corner lift issue, the feather is 28 usd and i was told the corners crack and chip, also it is less powerful protection wise than the ghost (due to being so thin)- eventually i had two options in mind:
Glass-m and Nilkin.
being way cheaper, i went for the 0.3 nilkin, seeing that thicker glass is better protection, i feared the issue that the Mime Ghost reportedly had (which is also 0.3) but testing it for 11usd (in aliexpress) was worth it.
to end the long story i intended short:
they fit PERFECTLY together, now with the glass the Diz hugs the phone even better, its like one solid beautiful unit, no dust goes between the glass the and the diztronic thanks to the lip. gladly the glass pushes the lip up a-bit and not to other way around so that is no corner lift issue.
and with a-bit of luck, this whole thing, total and GOOD phone protection was only 20USD. (9 for Diz, 11 for Nilkin)
so if you have any doubts, or even if you want to get something crazy super expensive but want something in the meantime, this is the thing for you.
ps
i won't review the two individual produces as other XDA members already did it far better then i could ever want to, but ive seen (and asked) many questions about glass compatibility with cases - so this is why i made this post.
