Got it on play store !

Except a little glitch for login :
- had a pop-up to allow app log-in with xda app...ok (noticed there's two choices but with same option twice)
- click to validate, but stuck in a white screen
- need to clear cache and re-open the app
- go through logging again
- same pop-up but selected option to "always open with..." (not just taped the app)
=> I'm in and everything seems to be okay right now
(will go further testing/using later)

[EDIT: I use more than one browser and no default browser set]

Notes :
- looks like a encapsulated 'pwa' like app, but 65 mo feel heavy for this, I'm must have yet miss some features inside.
- can't see news section - is it there ?

Thanks for your work and managing this migration

Possible feature suggestion: allow the app to check the device's animation scale, so that it can remove animations for example, when entering/exiting threads, navigating across the app, etc...
This is just a possible feature that could be added, it's not necessary, but it would be welcome! :)
Good idea, we'll consider it.

I miss xda news, I always read the news first and then the forums.
I think we'll bring this back later!

Is there a specific reason why there will be no tapatalk integration? Thanks
So back when we were on vBulletin, the Tapatalk software crushed our servers and was literally responsible for slowness of the site.

We hear there is a XenForo plugin for Tapatalk which we're going to look into, but with our new app, we don't really see a need!

Is there a setting to jump to newest post when viewing a thread? As its constructed, when a new post arrives you select the thread which brings you to the OP post then one has to select "jump to new" to read the latest post. Thank you

Not sure what you mean... Log out from browser? Is it connected somehow to the app?
Yes, the app seems to authenticate via the mobile browser. So there could be a kind of "conflict".
See other posts about it:
Here How my old passwork worked
- I needed to signout from mobile default browser
- Then opened Mobile new App - Login - authorized

Yeah, but you need to log in to authenticate...
Anyway, I managed to log in finally, hope it won't log me out by itself :) Look like there was some interferences with my adblocker :)

I just installed the app and logged in. I loved that I didn't have to enter my credentials (it prompted me to authorise it) because I was already logged in on the browser.

I also love how the app looks just like the browser.

I've not yet found out how to mark a thread as read. Edit: just found it: swipe a forum in a list to the right to get Watch and Mark read.

Also, the app UI freezes on me. Removing it from Recents is enough to get it working again. I'll get a log the next time this happens.

Go to the app settings and look in the Gestures section ;)

You need to be logged into your account via browser, as the app will authenticate via your online xda account. If your not logged in, it has nothing to authenticate from.

Edit, I was a little late, can see you got it sorted ☕😊

Yeah, but you need to log in to authenticate...
Correct.
I mean to log out from your mobile browser first, then start the new xda app and log in / authenticate via the app.
That is how it worked for me and many other users:
New App login issue : (Solved)

I needed to signout first from mobile default browser and then only able to sign - in from XDA new app. Before doing that, it was looping authorization.

So... Log in in browser, authenticate in app, log out from browser? That's a crazy way to log in :D
Edit: nevermind, I managed to log in anyway.
